    12 Outlet Power Surge Protector w/ 2 Built-In USB Charger Ports - 3420Joules

Protect your electronic equipment from damaging voltage and current spikes with this Monoprice surge protector.

This model includes twelve protected power outlets, 4 of which are positioned for AC power adapters, and a 2-port 2.1A USB charger. The clear plastic tabs on the sides of the unit illuminate green to indicate when the surge protector is providing protection to your equipment and when a proper ground is detected.

When the protection circuitry has been fully consumed by power and current spikes, the protection light will no longer illuminate, indicating that the surge protector should be replaced. When the grounded tab is not illuminated it indicates that there is a problem with the house wiring and that the ground is not properly connected to the power outlet.

The surge protector has 4 keyholes on the back, allowing it to be secured to a wall or other surface.

    Great Power Bar
I ordered this to replace an old 6 port power bar that was attached to my office wall. It works and looks great. I was concerned that the safety covers might be a bit annoying, but I was wrong, they are barely noticible. Some might find the green lights on both sides of the unit a bit annoying, but I think they are cool. The only thing I regret about ordering this, was that I only ordered one.

Room for big wall warts, and then some.
It is under a bedroom desk with a big desktop and accessories.
I have to figure out how to block the green LED lights.
They light up the otherwise darkened room.

PROS: Room for big fat wall warts, without blocking any outlets.

    CONS: The green LED lights.
They light up an otherwise darkened room.

Nice surge protector. I like the USB ports as it almost eliminates the need to plug in all your various charging adapters. Would be nice to have more ports.

PROS: Charges iPad (3rd gen) fine

CONS: Green "Grounded" light too bright

    I'm happy to have this
As soon as I see Monoprice is willing to put its own name on it, I'm 3/4 sold, because the company takes care of its customers instead of just its sales.
For my needs this is the best size of power strip one of whose most important features is the extra space around plug-ins to accommodate bulky A/C adapters. The adapters not only have enough 'elbow room', they have 'tail room' too: The cords can bus down the centre of the strip, they don't need to hang over the sides. (Where there's no issue of conflict between EMF this helps keep the work area tidy.)
As well, the adapters plug-in from the sides.
Both the length of the power cord and the visual appearance of the board are mature and considerate. (If you're wondering why I use those words look around your workspace: How many glowing, glaring, shining, flashing, short-corded and otherwise short-sighted devices aren't simply mature and considerate? I want a workspace not a pinball arcade.)
For the job this power strip does I probably wouldn't have trusted it if its regular retail price were less.

PROS: Devices can plug into the strip from the sides rather than in a row in line with the power cord.
Bulkier A/C adapters have room to sit side-by-side.
    'Cooperative' visual appearance.

    Exactly what we needed.
Overall we're very satisfied with this powerbar, the sockets are spaced in a way that saves a lot of space, those clunky "Wall blobs" that come with so many electronics just take up more room than a normal powerbar easily allows. This solves that problem.

The only things I'd change are the bright LEDs, easy enough to cover if required. And where I have mine placed you can't see them anyhow.

We bought two of these, one of them does not sit perfectly flat on our floor. Not really a problem.

Would love to see these in a black finish, preferably flat black.

PROS: Lots of sockets spaced in a logical pattern, especially the two sockets on each end.

    CONS: Bright Green LED

Enough sockets and USB Power too
It works as advertised and offers 12 well spaced sockets at a reasonable price.

PROS: Sockets are well laid out for power supplies. USB power makes it easy to charge your portable devices,

CONS: It is large. Takes a lot of solace on a counter top.

works well, long enough flexible cable, nice indication light, noise suppression.
    will order it again.

PROS: look nice and attractive, very well build, good internal components, electrical noise suppression.

    CONS: none

    Great Products & Service
I have been purchasing electronic products from Monoprice for years, and have always received products that fulfill their job at low prices delivered promptly and even fast now with their new delivery company. Returns are handed expeditiously and courteously with prompt crediting to your credit card. I can't say enough about how good this company is and way above others that sell online.

PROS: Excellent range of products at super prices and great service!

    CONS: There are no Cons

Great outlets if you can deal with bright green lights
I use this under my desk to power my computer and all its peripherals as well as my bedroom television set. As a surge protector I have no complaints. They outlets are spaced well and can fit a number of wall warts with no issue. It has a large flat footprint but that's fine as it sits on the floor below my desk. There is however, an extremely bright green light strip along the sides of the surge protector. When I first used it, it provided so much ambient light under my desk, it looked like I had popped three chem lights under my desk. However, several strips of black electric tape later, and the light is not an issue.

PROS: Plenty of outlets, sturdy build quality

CONS: Bright green lights on side are....bright

i will be buying more and have recommended them to others.

PROS: stylish looking, not too big and not a lot of added features that aren't used. I've bought a bunch for my office and for home...they're great and so far reliable.

    CONS: none so far
