    Pros: It's glossy

    Cons: None

Love the glossy white. Needed a new strip because the old one had one jack that wasn't working.

    Successfully protected electronics.

    Pros: Inexpensive, effective protection.

I bought 2 of these, along with some other models. The 2 540-Joule units both stopped lighting green last night after several power flickers, and ultimately a power outage. Both strips still provide power, but no longer light green. All my electronics still work, so clearly these did their job. My other (higher joule) power strips are all still green, so I will replace these 2 units with the higher-rated units. Less than $20 for these two surge protectors saved thousands of dollars of electronics.

Good quality. Cheap. But no equipment protection guarantee.

    Pros: Good quality. Cheap

Cons: No equipment protection guarantee. Side on/off switch.

These are good quality and a few bucks cheaper than you'd find a Home Depot. But... They offer no equipment protection guarantee like most surge protectors you can buy i.e. "Will pay for up to $25,000 of equipment if it fails." Instead, Monoprice offers a technical specification of "540 joules" which I think only electrical engineers understand. So it's hard to determine how effective these units actually are in an event of a surge. Also, I personally don't like the side on and off switch. Nearly all power strips/surge protectors have a top switch, with, in my opinion, is easier to operate.
