Pros: Outlet placement - The USBs

Cons: The USBs- they stopped working five days out, both of them.

Out of the box this was awesome. The spacing of the outlets meant dealing with Wall Warts was easy. Then it went to hell as the USB's stopped working.

From the reviews, looks like I am stuck with this as I'm not going to pay to ship it back. I also can't be without it as it's the only power strip I have.

    Better luck next time.

Pros: Mounts on 2x4's, table legs, SOME desk lips.
2 USB charging ports eliminates the need for block chargers/adapters
Spaced outlets lets you plug in those bulky block power supplies that otherwise cover other outlets
Power switch is recessed in the side of the unit so a block charger/power supply doesn't accidentally flip the switch.

Cons: Relatively high-priced as far as surge protectors go, but still worth it to have at least 2 or 3 around.

Desk mounting is nice, but installing this in the ceiling on my joists is what let me to this product. Probably not up to code, but I have projectors, DVRs, repeaters, and other things above my drop ceiling in my home that need power. This attached firmly to by ceiling joists, and the layout of the outlets allowed me to plug 3 block-style power supplies in without losing other valuable plugs. Having USB ports is a plus.

I can also mount these to our classroom-style tables in the conference room on the table legs without having unsightly zip-ties.

    Mountable Power Strip/Surge Protector

Pros: No drilling to mount to a surface, 2 USB ports, has held up for 4 years with rowdy boys!

Cons: Would be nice to be able to swivel the mount so you can change direction of cord-but still an awesome power strip!

My step-father and I built captain's beds out of red oak for my two boys for Christmas 2012. These have headboards but i didn't want to have holes cut into the wood for power cords. My mother found these on Monoprice. We absolutely love them. We ordered one for each bed back in 2012 and have them attached vertically on the front of the headboard/bookshelves. We have moved 2 times since then and even with that and two preteen boys using them, everything works perfect to this day. We have not had any problems with the USB ports or any of the outlets. My family buys many items from Monoprice.

Pros: Great concept and will work nicely to fit my needs. Only hope is that Monoprice has worked out the issues with the dying USB ports that have been reported on this item.

Cons: Hopefully none, time will tell...

Took a chance with a product that has a spotty reputation with the hopes that i will not have an issue. Will be keeping an eye for issues and will report in if anything occurs.

    USB charging ports unreliable

    Pros: Desk mountable

    Cons: USB ports flaky

For a short while I was very happy with this, especially because of the desk mounting clamps, and the ability to charge two USB devices. However, within a few weeks one of the USB ports died. Now I have to charge my iPad with a plug in charger.

    Hello,

Truly sorry to hear one of the USB ports failed on your surge protector. Does the issue remain when testing different devices or switching out the USB cable? Is the other USB port still providing a charge? Should the issue continues, I can assist you with setting up an RMA for a replacement to see if that will work better for you. We offer a 30 day return policy as well as a one year warranty on this item. Obtaining a replacement would be of no additional cost to you. Please let me know if anything changes or if you would like to continue with a replacement.
