Lasted 6 months before the USB ports died

So this was great until the USB ports died. When it worked well it allowed us to have a both phones plugged in and in the cradles charging. My biggest complaint when it was working was that the outlets aren't spaced far enough apart. It's hard to plug in three plugs at the same time unless you have all smaller plug heads.

50% Failure rate for me

Pros: Convenient.
Well constructed.
Nice design.

Cons: 2 out of 4 were DOA.

I want to give this a higher rating, but I can't based on failure rate. Out of the 4 I ordered over the last year or so, 2 arrived dead out of the box. One, the USB ports were dead, and the other, the power protection was not indicating it was active. The cell phone holders work great to keep phones off the dusty floor. The design is stylish if you have white trim. I love the ones that DO work! :)

RMA process was 10/10 as always with MP.

Why is it designed upside down?

The convention for outlets in commercial construction is that the ground plug is up (above the two blades). It's slowly becoming standard in residential as well. I don't usually mind too much buying Monoprice's upside down outlets, but it really makes the phone-holder model fairly worthless.

Pros: Charges USB devices where normal wall outlets do not have USB

Cons: very poor charging rates with two devices plugged in

A wall charging device THIS huge should be at least 4.2amp with dual 2.1 output simultaneously. I bought this identical piece of hardware. The verbiage/packaging are confusing to most consumers.

After all, what does joule mean to the lehman, I would not buy or recommend this product. The labeling on the front of the hardware is misleading. USB OUTPUT 2.1a is true. If two devices are plugged in however, one is getting 1.0a charging the other is getting 1.1a. which is still questionable at best, but does not bode well for today's devices and their much larger mAh batteries.
