    5 years and still cranking

Pros: Durability, sound, easy to clean

Cons: Metal mounting brackets will rust in salt air.

On a porch at the beach, after 5 years of salt spray the mounting brackets are rusting away but the speakers still sound great. I bought the 3 1/2 version for my boat also. Best purchase ever. Replaced some Infinity speakers that cost twice as much and lasted half as long.

    Pros: -Visually appealing

Cons: -Proprietary wiring terminal with no replacement parts available

Installed these Speakers about 2 years ago on my deck. Unfortunately this summer one of the speakers wiring harness seems to have developed a short. With no replacement parts available, these speakers have been rendered useless.

Pros: Awesome value, great build quality, I'll be ordering more.

    Cons: none

The sound is exceptionally good for such an inexpensive speaker. Obviously they don't dig deep, especially outdoors, but they would sound fantastic if augmented with a subwoofer or two. The build quality is very good with excellent fit and finish. They are much heavier than I expected. The included wiring connector is good quality, convenient to connect and looks well sealed against the elements.

Pros: Good power handling, good mounts, good highs/mids

Cons: Poor low end, weak IP65 connectors

Great speakers for highs/mids. As expected they don't have much low end. Overall I am happy with the tone and power handling.

    Pros: Easy Installation
    Strong Mounting
    Very Good Sound for Price

Cons: Limited Bass (for certain mounting positions)

I've had these installed for a couple weeks now and have hosted a dinner/gaming party since. These speakers work very well for the price point. You'd be hard pressed to find a better speaker at this price point. I do agree that bass is a bit lacking but not terribly. I'd argue there's no WAY you could get more bass at this price. It is what it is. They do a great job getting the sound out there with good clarity and, ultimately, create the ambiance most people are looking for when entertaining outdoors.

Tips of Achieving Good Bass Results...
I mounted these (2 sets) on my front and back porch. On my front porch, I mounted facing inward where they could bounce off walls. The bass response is much more pronounced. On my back porch, I mounted under the soffit facing outward with less wall to bounce off of - the result, as you can imagine, is less bass. Think about your positioning before install. You can get really good bass if you position properly.
