    Poor performing antenna system.

Pros: Price on promotion was decent at just under $17 with shipping.
Mounting system/hardware is quite good, though I don't think it would work outdoors.
Size and appearance is unobtrusive and wife-friendly.
Telephone customer service was friendly, clearly USA national and easy to understand. Getting an RMA was stress-free.

Cons: Performance of the Mono 4730 is VERY POOR compared to a cheap, small foil antenna (see my review). In fact the Mono 4730 is basically useless in my rather simple location/installation.
The provided in-line amplifier made a very slight difference, bringing the signal from nearly none (channel scan delivered nearly no channels), to levels at least 20%points lower than a cheap foil antenna. Even with the amplifier the signal strength was too weak to be useful.
What's worse, Monoprice does not cover return shipping so I'll only get back ~45% of my out-of-pocket expense. Up until now I've been a reasonably satisfied Monoprice customer, but I'll now think long and hard before ordering anything from Monoprice. Too bad...

Purchased this product to use in Los Angeles/Westchester hoping it would perform better than a $6.99 Artec 6"x9" foil antenna from Meritline. My location is Yellow/Green for ~50 usable OTA TV channels. I was hoping to get slightly better signal strength and slightly better signal quality from the Mono 4730.
I mounted the Mono 4730 in exactly the same (indoor) location as the Artec. I matched the direction to the Artec and confirmed optimum pointing using a compass. The Mono 4730 gave me at least 20%points lower signal strength for every channel compared to the Artec and made nearly all the channels unusable. Signal quality was even worse in comparison.. I use HDHomeRun and HDHR software to measure values.

    Not Impressed

    Pros: small size

Cons: received few channels than my previous antenna

I have been using a large roof antenna on my TV in my living room and when I bought a TV for my bedroom I thought I would try this antenna. It does not work nearly as well as my large roof antenna so I am not impressed. It did capture several channels when the power was attached but still not as many as my larger roof antenna. I am disappointed in the results and would not recommend this item.

    Exactly what I needed

Pros: Picks up all Phoenix area broadcast - I live almost exactly due north of the broadcast towers so the signal has to go over north mountain and still reach my house without line of site.
    Easy installation
Good length cable included(In my situation I needed a second cable to reach the TV since mounting near the 2nd story ceiling for a 1st story TV)
Smaller than I'd imagined from the images

Cons: -Coax cable is black, and for indoor mounts, it would be nice to have white(Even outdoor could look better white).
-Directions aren't clear on recommended positioning or angling of the antenna(really the English translation is quite poor), but quickly I found out that pointing the "front" of the antenna toward the broadcast towers worked best.

I had been running into issues with channels cutting out, especially during any weather or a helicopter flying overhead. I was using a combination of the old bunny ears with loop and a flat "HD" antenna. I was able to pick up most channels offered in Phoenix but it seemed that the shows I wanted to watch cut out the most. I have a two story home with the livingroom ceiling going all the way to the 2nd floor. I mounted the antennas as close to the ceiling as possible. This mean when I had to make an adjustment, I needed a ladder. This antenna replaced both of them and gets more signal with a MUCH cleaner look. I now get full signal on all channels, and the ones I used to have trouble with or couldn't receive, have at least 3 out of 4 bars at all times. I am using the amplifier.

    Unimpressed with product

Pros: Nothing positive in terms of technical use I can think of.

Cons: As above. written about the product.

I had great expectation from this product not only because of price but the product itself form the reviews I read.
I use indoor antenna keeping it on my TV cabinet. But regardless of place and directions I get no signal at all after adjusting setting on TV. I have VIZIO model M320NV. So the unit is lying idle. I live in Alpharretta, GA its geographical coordinates are 34° 4' 31" North, 84° 17' 39" West . I don't think this antenna works at this location.
