Adjustable Height 5 lb. Capacity Speaker Stands (Pair), Black

Many small satellite speakers have ports on the back, which are designed to improve the bass response. For best sound response, it is usually recommended to mount these speakers about 1-2 feet away from the wall, to allow the ports to work properly.

This speaker floor stand set is designed to let you mount your satellite speakers in an ideal location, away from a wall. The stands are height adjustable from about 26.8" to 43.3", allowing you to mount the speakers at your ear height when sitting. They can hold speakers weighing up to 5 lbs each.

The brackets mount onto speakers with a standard 1/4" x 20 mounting screw or via a keyhole mount. The stand tubes are hollow so that the speaker wires can be hidden within.

Screws dont fit Monoprice premium speaker
    1/5

    PROS: yet to install.

CONS: I am unable to install. I got this for the monoprice premium 5.1 speaker. but none of the 3 screws fit the speaker. Not sure this stand is made for monoprice speakers.

    Response from Monoprice
    Hi Raj,

Thank you for your review on PID 3022! I just wanted to mention that these stands were released before our Premium 5.1 system (PID 10565) and do not include the necessary hardware for those satellite speakers, sorry to say. At this time, our best recommendation would be to obtain the screws from your local hardware store as we would be unable to supply those separately. Or, if truly unsatisfied with the stands, I can assist you in setting up an RMA for a return instead. If you would like to proceed with the return, please let me know and I will get that going right away. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused and I hope this helps.

    Doesn't work with Monoprice's Premium 5.1 speakers
Monoprice's description says "Many small satellite speakers have ports on the back, which are designed to improve the bass response. For best sound response, it is usually recommended to mount these speakers about 1-2 feet away from the wall, to allow the ports to work properly."

However the speaker stands block the port! Keeping the port open and away from the wall is why I bought the stands in the first place! To add insult to injury. The screws they provide with the stand don't fit the - Premium 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System that Monoprice sells.

    What a waste!

    PROS: A speaker stand

CONS: Screws don't fit Monoprice's surround sound speakers plus the stand blocks the port in the back of the speaker

Not complatible with Premium 5.1 set sold by monoprice
These stands do not come with the hardware to mount the Premium 5.1-ch set that monoprice sells (product number 10565), even though the item description says:

"The brackets mount onto speakers with a standard 1/4" x 20 mounting screw or via a keyhole mount."

Guess what? The Premium 5.1-ch speakers use the standard 1/4" x 20 mounting screws, but only smaller screws are included with this set. If you want to use these with the 5.1 ch satellites, you'll need to buy extra hardware at the store.

Monoprice: you really should have in bold writing something like, "While this stand supports standard 1/4" x 20 mounts, the hardware to do this is sold separately." This is extremely misleading, and makes me weary about future purchases.

    PROS: Cheap, base seems sturdy

CONS: Doesn't work with Premium 5.1-ch speakers sold by monoprice

    Good, not great
These stands are perfectly adequate. They are not as sturdy as some more expensive brands. The plastic covering to hide where the speakers attach to the stand is a little loose, but does not seem to be prone to falling off entirely. The base could be heavier in order to improve stability, but for less than half the cost, its a great trade off. Unless you are really picky, these are a great buy.

    Speaker stands are great
Sturdy, easy to assemble, fits in decor wonderfully. Unobtrusive.

PROS: I keep coming back. You have what I need without the nonsense of the big stores and their staff...oh yeah and high prices.

    CONS: none

    Nice Speaker Stands
These are worth more than they cost. Work great for todays smaller speakers.

PROS: These are very solid and functional stands. You can't beat the price.

CONS: None that I can think of.

    Good stands for the price
I bought these to use with some Mirage-style surround speakers that were on sale at Parts Express a while back. These speakers have the mounting hole on the bottom, not the back. The mounting provision with these stands is only for speakers having the mounting hole(s) on the back. The Monoprice customer service agent I spoke to prior to purchasing erroneously told me the included brackets would accommodate the bottom-mount speakers, but when I unpacked them I found that was not true. Not a big deal though, I bought some steel L-brackets and appropriate screws at my local Ace hardware and spray-painted everything satin black. It all went together as expected and works well enough, and doesn't look bad.

The vertical support is in two telescoping sections held in place by a twist-lock collar. The upper section is smaller diameter and fits inside the lower section. That all works well except there is a bit of slop where the bottom end of the upper section does not fit snugly enough inside the larger-diameter lower section, and even with the collar tight, it allows some movement. It is not enough to cause any issues, but the lack of versatility in the mounting options and the slight wiggle in the support caused me to dock some points.

Overall, for the low price, these fit the bill just fine. In my usage they are mostly hidden behind a sofa. If you want a more sophisticated look, you may want to opt for a better quality product.

PROS: Decent quality for the price easy assembly.

CONS: Not intended for speakers that have the mounting hole on the bottom upper support section is slightly loose inside the lower section.

    Great Value
I looked high and low for speaker stands on the internet and these were the cheapest I could find. Added these stands to an order for $40 worth of cable. Everything arrived on time in perfect condition. Assembled the stands with ease (a 15 yr old with a screwdriver can do it). They are lightweight and hold my Energy Take Classic sats (3lbs I think) just fine. They are a little wobbly but I don't regret the decision at all. Got every bit for the price.

    Good basic stands
Decent quality product for an incredible bargain!

PROS: Inexpensive! They look just as nice as the Bose version costing $100! They hold the speaker up, plus they have height adjustment which is pretty cool. Also it's nice that you could use other speakers besides Bose on them if you wanted to.

CONS: Really no complaints. I guess they feel cheap when putting them together. But that really is irrelevant, because they work fine and look nice.
