    Great Mount

Pros: - Adjustable joints seem to be set tight enough to not move
    - Very full range of motion for a variety of angles

Cons: - Needed to modify it slightly to fit a smaller tablet
    - Lock button could be a bit better situated
    - Cover for base should come off for installation.

I've only had this set up for about a week, but it seems to be exactly what I was looking for. I used this to mount a tablet in the kitchen for cooking with recipes, etc.

Very easy to install, and a great full range of motion so that it could be mounted on the corner of a cabinet and swung out of the way when not in use.

The measurements looked like they would work for a Nexus 7, but it was just slightly too tall to hold the tablet firmly in place. I was able to easily remove the adjustable bracket, cut about 1" off and put it back together - and now it works perfectly.

The only (minor) things I would change is that if the bottom cover came completely off for installation, it would have made things simpler - if you have a tight spot to install this, a bit of patience may be involved in getting the cover rotated while installing screws.

    Cheap! Cheap!

    Pros: Cheap.
If your tablet fits (our Nexus 7 barely did when in a book-type case), it holds it reasonably securely.
If you only need it to be able to hold weight of the tablet against the angles of the arm, it should work. If you need it to hold the tablet against rotation of the arm in the base, see "Cons"

    Cons: Cheap.
Has a definite flimsy feel (it is cheap!), couldn't hold up our tablet in all axes (we needed it to hold against rotation in the base and it couldn't, regardless of adjustment).
The 2-screw mounting is not stable and rocks slightly even when mounting screws secured this is going to strain the 2 screws should have been 3-screw mounting. If it could hold the tablet up (which it doesn't), I'd have added another screw.

Don't like it, doesn't do the job in our application, poorly designed.
1st Monoprice I've had an issue with actually very surprised...and disappointed.

    Nice Device for our uses

Pros: Easy to install and easy to adjust. Works perfectly with iPad 1. Looks good in the kitchen!

    Cons: None

Bought this for my wife to use with iPad 1. Mounted it in the kitchen over the phone. Set it a little above eye level. Works perfectly. Has become the hub of the house. Calendar programs, recipes, email, music. Friends are always asking about it. We don't vary the adjustments much, but the iPad is removed and replaced in unit often. Not sure about bad reviews. ? You can tighten it up easily. ? Well worth the money!

    Not quite universal

Pros: - Mostly very solid (in the arm)
    - Reasonably inexpensive

Cons: - Won't fit many larger 10in tablets (without an extended lower bracket)
    - Arm plastic feels slightly cheap in comparison to the rest of the very solid build.

This claims to be a universal mount for tablets including 10in tablets, and as several people mentioned, some 10in tablets are too big, including the Asus Transformer tablets I'm using with this.

That being said it's reasonably easy to resolve that issue if you have access to a 3D printer (or a 5-axis cnc machine I suppose). I've published a small fix for the two lower brackets, which extends them slightly to allow for comfortable locking of larger tablets:

    http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:238236

Obviously not ideal, and very likely screws up the ability to hold smaller tablets, so your mileage may vary.

Beyond that the arms feel slightly of cheap plastic, where the rest of the mount feels very solid. Some folks have reported issues getting things tight enough to hold well, though I'm not seeing that issue.

Overall I'm pretty happy, my only concern is that the upper size range this holds is not really suitable for many 10in tablets, so be forewarned.

It's not universal, even the box says ipad stand.

Pros: Seems like a sturdy build.

    Cons: Doesn't fit my tablet....it's

I was quite excited to try this out! Fortunately I was smart enough (this time) to test fit my tablet, a Toshiba Thrive, before mounting and it wasn't even close to fitting. I even tried loosening the corner brackets, but the difference in aspect ratio from an ipad and the larger screen size was enough to make this useless.

First time I've been disappointed in a Monoprice product, and it was because it's advertised as universal and it isn't. If you have an Android tablet with a 16:9 aspect ratio, it probably won't fit.
