Wireless Speaker Transmitter
Are you tired of all the speaker wires running around your home theater or stereo room? Connect your speakers wirelessly with this Wireless Speaker Transmitter kit from Monoprice!
This kit consists of a wireless transmitter/preamp and a combination wireless receiver and 30 watt/channel amplifier. In a typical configuration, you connect your two speakers to the receiver/amplifier and connect your input device to the transmitter, using the 3.5mm TRS input jack. The audio signal is then wireless transmitted to the receiver, which amplifies the output for the speakers. The receiver/amplifier also sports a 3.5mm TRS input jack, which allows you to use the amplifier in a direct connection, bypassing the wireless transmission system.
The transmitter operates in the 2.4GHz range (2400~2483MHz) with multiple channels to avoid interference from other 2.4GHz devices. By setting each transmitter to a different channel, multiple wireless transmitter kits can be used simultaneously to drive each stereo pair in a 5.1 or 7.1 channel audio system.
A single transmitter is also capable of being paired with multiple receivers, allowing you to configure multiple wireless stereo speaker zones for simultaneous transmission to different rooms or to different locations in a large room or open area.

This unit is excellent in that the range is fine for my HT room, I have not encountered any interference at all, the inputs are standard (and includes all cables), and can use any standard speaker.
The only thing I wish it had, which is the same problem with every system of this type, is a more powerful amplifier. I'm using bookshelf-size studio monitors that are mid-level power hungry, and they could use a little more amp at higher volume levels.
PROS: Very easy setup, works perfectly.
CONS: I wish it had more amplifier power.
PROS: Used in a house over a distance of 35 feet with two intervening walls and a bookcase, and with Both Wi-Fi service and Bluetooth active in the same house, transmission is flawless. The units are unobtrusive, and easily hidden or screened.
CONS: Thye very small size of the units means the controls are small also, and the on-off switches are not ready to hand. The units will probably be left "on" permanently. Time will tell whether this affects their performance or life expectancy.
PROS: wireless. amplifier. dual-channel
CONS: not sold w/o wireless transmitter/receiver, i.e. would be nice as a standalone amplifier. dual (stereo) outputs cannot be bridged to increase units 2x30w to 1x50-60w.
PROS: No wires running across the floor
CONS: Not much power( not much volume)
Makes a popping sound every once in a while
PROS: arrived fast, it was easy to hook up
CONS: little rough on syncing up the frequency, speakers poping sound, keep loosing signal
PROS: Ease of use and setup.
CONS: Receiver amp could be more powerful.
PROS: Worked right out of the box
PROS: Ability to select different channel to avoid wi-fi router interference.
CONS: Needed to buy a speaker line out to RCA converter to work with my system (minor)
Every once in a while, the receiver needs to be restarted, though I've never had to do so while an audio signal is being transmitted. I can only see what channel I'm using or what the transmitter volume is when it's first turned on once it's been on for several minutes, the display turns off and will not come back on, even when changing the channel or volume. There is an occasional crackling sound that comes through, as if there is interference in the signal this seems to happen no matter what channel I have the unit set to.
One other thing that I can't explain: the volume knob on the receiver has a blue LED behind it. It stopped working shortly after I set it up. This doesn't effect the function of the unit, only the aesthetics (and I can appreciate that it now does not light up the entire room when I have a movie playing in a dimmed room).
PROS: An excellent wireless solution for surround sound
CONS: Receiver needs to be restarted every once in a while
Transmitter display shuts off after being on a while
Readily receives interference
