Not a 12 V IR receiver

Cons: Not a 12 V

bought it to connect it to ATON DLA speaker selector system., it requires direct connection (wires instead of 3.5mm jack), i searched all over the internet for data sheet but couldnt find one, instead i got my 12 V source and started connecting all sort of combinations to make it work with no Luck, apparently this does not run on 12 V as claimed, also you will not find any details for it online.

Hello Mina,

Thank you for your review and my apologies for any inconvenience. PID 8060 is intended to be used with a single band IR device that utilizes the 3.5mm connection to connect the cable. If I may ask, was the cable cut to connect it to the IR wire terminals of your ATON DLA Speaker Selector? Also, PID 8060 would not be a 12V cable. I do not see any indication that PID 8060 is a 12V cable. Did you happen to remember where you had seen that stated?

Pros: Called in to purchase a product to add IR receiver to previously purchased unit from MP told this would work never did. Pretty much makes my previous purchase worthless!

Hello Richard,

Sorry to hear PID 8060 did not work out for your needs. PID 8060 would support single band IR signals and if the device you are trying to connect it to uses dual band IR then it would unfortunately not work. If I may ask, what device you are trying to connect PID 8060 to?

Works with Charter Cable Box

Pros: Works as advertised. Simple to install.

Cons: Cord could be longer.

This works with the Cisco Explorer 4640HDC cable box from Charter Cable. Simple plug and play. The cord could be longer but the length worked for me. I have not had any issues with it. The box is in the closet and the sensor is located on the tv in the bathroom. I can use it anywhere within 10 feet. Worth the five bucks for sure.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Did not work with either deivce

New AV cabinet is behind smoked glass and it is cutting down and the IR remotes (thank you dish and roku for not being IR) so I ordered one of these and it does not work with either my Denon AVR or my Oppo 103. At least this was inexpensive!

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear PID 8060 is not working with your Denon AVR or Oppo103. Please note this receiver is only tested to work with specific units like PID 8008, PID 8201, and PID 9964; and is only compatible with single band IR frequencies and is not compatible with devices that utilize dual band frequencies. Could you verify if your Denon AVR or your Oppo 103 use single band frequencies?

Pros: Exactly what I was looking for. It works great from 6-8 ft as the distance I have for my tv
Fast shipping and very reasonable pricing

Cons: small antenna is really tough to fit next to tv. I had to tape it over the tv to make it stand still

I would recommend this product for others
