    Works with Time Warner/Cisco DTA
I bought two of these to go with Cisco digital tuning adapters supplied by Time Warner. They work great. Both control dtas attached to LED TVs, one Samsung, one Visio. Great value, prompt delivery.

    PROS: good value

    well made

CONS: two sided mounting tape not effective

Very happy with this IR extender
It was surprisingly difficult to find an IR extender that didn't require an in-line power source. I had purchased one from a Monoprice competitor only to find that it didn't work with a HDMI switch I am using in a office conference room environment. This IR extender saved the day and works, as advertised, without any +12V in-line power required.

Works great with my TWC boxes
Work as advertised with TWC Arris DCX-3600-m and 3200-m boxes.

PROS: Easy to install. Literally Plug and Play

CONS: No adhesive stickers with these. Had to use my own tape to stick them to the television.

    Time Warner DCX 3400 DVR
Plugs right in to the rear or the Time Warner DCX 3400 DVR cable receiver box. Works great for cable boxes located in closed cabinets. This is a receiver, not a blaster. If you look carefully at the picture on Monoprice.com, you will see an arrow pointing inward and the letters "RX" stamped on top. The RX means "Receiver of transmission". This was the least expensive remote receiver I found on the internet. Others cost as much as $30 or more. The DCX 3400 DVR cable receiver box is used throughout Ventura County.

    PROS: Works great! Great Price!

CONS: Somewhat limited range. About 80 to 90 degrees.

Works great with FIOS Motorola HD box.
I bought this receiver for a Motorola QIP 71001 from FIOS that is hidden, and it works great.

    PROS: Small, inexpensive, good sensitivity.

    Hide the Ugly Cable Box
Works perfectly. If your cable box has an input for IR, then your in business. Hide the box in a closet, Velcro the receiver to the TV (Velcro not included)

    PROS: Easy to install.

    CONS: None

Will this work with a Sony Model # XBR-43X830C TV? There is an IR jack on the side, but the owner's manual is less than clear about whether I need to set up a serial control system along with the IR extender. Thanks for your help.
