10x6.25 Inches Graphic Drawing Tablet w/ 8 Hot Key - Legacy Systems up to Mac OSX 10.7.5

Unleash your inner artist with this Graphics Tablet from Monoprice!

From the time we first grasped a crayon in our little hands, we have grown used to the use of the pen/pencil form for writing and drawing tasks. So, while a mouse can be used for simple drawing tasks, a graphics tablet with a pen stylus is a more natural and controllable input device.

This graphics tablet has a 10" x 6.25" drawing area in a widescreen 16:10 aspect ratio. It features 8 programmable hot keys on the left side of the tablet and 16 preprogrammed function keys around the edges of the drawing area. It boasts a 4000 LPI resolution, a 200 RPS report rate, and 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity on the pen, allowing you to produce light, wispy strokes, as well as heavy, bold strokes, depending on the pressure used.

The tablet includes device drivers for both Windows and Mac OSX. Bonus software, which provides pen functionality to Windows XP and Vista systems, is also included. Note that the bonus software is not compatible with Windows 7+ or Mac OSX.

The tablet connects to your PC or Mac using a USB 2.0 connection.

    tablet won't acknowledge pen
I just ordered this drawing tablet from amazon and after downloading the software the tablet light would turn blue if I had the pen near it but when I would try to use the pen the cursor would not move, but if I tap on the pad the tablet acts like I clicked a mouse button and click where the curser was at that moment

    Windows 10 Pressure Sensitivity Fix
1st: uninstall old drivers from 2011 and restart computer
2nd: download and install latest (legacy) drivers from http://www.uc-logic.com/index.php?lang=en&action=support
3rd: goto "C:\WINDOWS\SysWoW64\WTClient.exe" " and right click on WTClient.exe, select "properties", then click "compatibility" tab. Check the "run this program as administrator" box.
4th: restart system and test pressure sensitivity in preferred program.
Tested, pressure sensitivity works in all 32bit programs (Photoshop, Sketchpad, etc.).

    PROS: Cost effective. Well made.

CONS: Takes a few tweaks to get it working in Windows 8 or 10.

    great drawing tablet!
I just built my 8 year old daughter her own computer from some parts I had from previous upgrades and put Win 8.1 on it. She was really getting into the drawing program from the app store using the mouse. That made me think of something like this for Christmas. I was concerned she would have trouble looking at the computer screen while drawing on the tablet, but no trouble at all. She was so excited for this and she uses it almost every day as she can go from logging in to printing her new creation without any help.

After reading reviews about pens like this having their tip wear out, I purchased a pack of extra tips just to have them on hand so she would not be without one in mid-creation.

My only nitpick would be that I would have preferred some sort of pen holder attached to the tablet itself, rather than a separate freestanding pen holder. Maybe there is a reason for this, I have not really taken that close a look at the pen tip.

PROS: Easy for my 8 year old to use
great entry level price for a drawing tablet
Lots of shortcut buttons which we do not use yet
Much nicer than using a mouse

CONS: Had to put up a couple more hanging lines on the wall for her to clip her art to!
Going to have to buy color ink more often!

No pen holder attached to tablet

For the average user of graphics tablets, I don't think anything can beat the Monoprice tablet range. I bought the 10x6.25 and splurged on getting the one with hot keys. Honestly, I wasn't sure how much I'd end up using the keys, but I thought I'd give it a try. The complete customizability of the hot keys and buttons is completely amazing, though. I changed a few around from their presets, but it was fast and simple, and they work perfectly. While there are a few compatibility issues with GIMP (since I am currently too poor to own a real program) but they are minor at worst, such as the zoom in and zoom out buttons not responding, or the "undo" key being over the close window button of the program itself. I didn't find either of these things to be difficult to overcome, and Monoprice reviews clearly stated that certain things were incompatible with GIMP from the beginning.

The tablet itself is very sensitive. I haven't had any problems or glitches with it. It has worked properly from the moment I opened the box and installed the software. I was worried that my ancient Wacom tablet drivers were going to cause problems (as some reviews warned me) but they were no problem whatsoever. I assume my Wacom was either too old for the drivers to be an issue, or this is a problem Monoprice has fixed.

Monoprice makes a good tablet, people. It's just my own experience, I know, but from what I can see these tablets are top notch with a low, low price tag. Shipping was ridiculously fast, too. Good product all around!

PROS: low price, hot keys and buttons, complete customization, light weight, large work space, very sensitive

    CONS: none

Couldn't believe it for the prce
You can't beat the price, for obvious reasons. It's light and the drivers are always some of my favorite. My main tablet is a Yiynova MSP19U+- however, it being quite a large on screen drawing tablet, i soon realized i'd need something for on the go or when i go on trips. I previously used strictly Wacom intuos, but the drivers for these cannot work on the same computer as the Yiynova. So after some research (emailing Yiynova and UC logic, the drivers company) This tablet was suggested to me as it actually works on the same UC logic driver as my Yiynova. Previously I had bought a Huion to try (didn't work with it, and I was informed Huion are illegally using the drivers so i returned it promptly and replaced it with this)

Setting it up was easy, I had to do was unplug my yiynova and plug this in and....much to my surprise! It worked! I was so happy to have been able to find a tablet that i can interchange with my Yiynova and now i am beyond thrilled. The drivers are some of my favorite as they work flawlessly (dare i say, even better than Wacom!) Pressure even feels superior on both devices in many aspects. The pen is also not too shabby either -

    now for the cons-

I don't have many, but for the low price, you're bound to have a few. The biggest issue is....the hotkeys do not stay assigned. I can set them, but when i restart, they always reset. This issue is also present with my Yiynova on two different computers, so it's definitely an issue with the UC Logic driver. Np though, i don't use the buttons at all, but this may be a deal breaker for some. Another thing to note about the buttons is that there is a slight lag with each press in which your cursor will stand still for a few seconds while the hotkey is performed. This basically makes all buttons on all UC logic driven tablets that i have tried...useless. This isn't a problem for me though, buttons are now useless to me anyway.

Another thing is it looks a bit cheesy to be honest with all of it's hotkeys labeled for all these things an artists doesn't really use hotkeys for parsay. But, this is just a visual aesthetic thing, nothing more.

The Cord also looks like it could be a bit fragile, with it being very thin. I fear that since it will be a portable, that the cable could easily become disconnected, like my intuos 3's had been. But again...this tablet is only $50!! So if that happens, I can't see spending that to replace it to be much of a problem so long as it lasts me a good many years like the intuos did.

and Lastly....the surface of it is that awful sandpaper like stuff that is "supposed" to mimic paper...honestly, always a horrible idea to me as it wears down nubs and just feels horrid on the hand. But this might just be me.

PROS: UC logic drivers, Lightweight, PRICE, PRICE PRICE!, sturdy pen, extra nibs, AMAZING pressure! and size (all of these outweigh the cons for me)

CONS: Hotkey buttons reset pretty often/lag cursor when used, no detachable cord, Cord looks fragile, surface is rough, cheap/cheesy looking (but who cares for the price)

    Amazing Graphics Tablet
You cannot possibly beat this quality for ten times the price. If you are hesitating because it's not a Wacom - DON'T. This tablet does not disappoint.

Works Great (according to my daughter)
Bought for my daughter for her birthday. She is into manga style drawing. She loves the tablet.

PROS: big enough to do lots of work.

    CONS: instructions not the best

    Surprisingly decent
For the price, this is the best thing I've ever invested in for graphic design or any other Photoshop or Illustrator related activity. I've always wanted a Wacom Cintiq digitizer. I've also wanted $1000 to pay for it, but hey, you know how that goes. A mouse has nothing on any drawing tablet, especially one as cheap and as decent as this. If you do any editing or design and you've been doing fine with a mouse, you can do just as fine with this tablet, but in a significantly shorter amount of time.

PROS: Cheap, good software, easy to set up, reasonably durable, more responsive than you'd think

CONS: Buttons are pretty loud, you have to press pretty hard to go through the full pressure spectrum

Have had this tablet a bit over a year and it suddenly wont work. I have completely reset my entire computer and reinstalled the driver multiple times. The tablet reacts with the blue light when the pen is near but wont move the curser. It will click and respond but I can NOT move using the pen at all.
