But, it holds my Droid X2 phone up vertical. The phone is not laying around to get covered with papers. I can charge the phone if I wish.
I have extra Motorola extended time batteries but I have not had a chance to charge them. If I find a problem I will add to the review.

This one is more like the Desktop Sync and Charge Dock the additional battery slot, where you have space for your phone (placed veritically) and a second battery. To use it your phone, you place the phone in the slot, and then hook it up with a short cable between the dock and your phone. There's no HDMI connection.
I'm disappointed in what I got, but I suppose it's my fault for not waiting for a photo of this dock, or a good description.
PROS: It is exactly as pictured and described.
CONS: I purchased this item prior to there being pictures or description.
PROS: It can charge both the phone and bat.
CONS: eye sore
PROS: charges additional battery
CONS: does not work with a case on phone
CONS: You MUST plug this into a computer to charge your phone....WHY? Faulty design, what is the power cable for...bought two thinking the first one was broke, it was just lame.
