Fixed Height 9 lb. Capacity Speaker Stands (Pair), Black

Many small satellite speakers have ports on the back, which are designed to improve the bass response. For best sound response, it is usually recommended to mount these speakers about 1-2 feet away from the wall, to allow the ports to work properly.

This speaker floor stand set is designed to let you mount your satellite speakers in an ideal location, away from a wall. The speaker mount base stands about 33.8", allowing you to mount the speakers at your ear height when sitting. They can hold speakers weighing up to 9 lbs each.

The Speaker mount plate measures 5 1/8" x 4 5/16". The stand tubes are hollow so that the speaker wires can be hidden within.

Pros: Heavy, Sturdy, Stable design

Cons: Maybe having White color as an option

These stands are heavy and stable. Easy to put together. They hold my rear Energy Take satellites very well. I have a 7.1 speaker configuration so I will probably order another set for the side satellite speakers as well. Having white as a color option would be nice since my speakers are white

Sturdy Speaker Stands

Pros: Stands are VERY heavy and sturdy.
Will hold lager surrounds (10lbs) easily

Cons: None so far

I was surprised at how heavy these stands were. I have a pair or larger Fluance bi-polar surrounds that I needed stands for. Many of the products I looked at had weight limits of 5lbs. These stands have no problem with the larger speakers.

Excellent Stands

Pros: strength, weight, design, cost

Cons: shipping costs

these stands are great overall.

the bottom has a weight with a cover to look nice, on the bottom side of the weight there is a groove to run the wire to the end of the base. you must pay attention to this as the direction the pole faces will impact it. place base where you want with groove facing direction wire needs to run. i just screwed mine in without paying attention and had to disassemble 1 of them to correct. screw in spikes go into base for carpet and rubber sticky pads for on hard floor. excellent strength while in place on carpet. the bend in the pole is for weight balancing when speaker is attached. i used the included flat base & 2 sided tape for my Boston bookshelf speakers. holds up great

i was able to fit 12ga wire in the groove on bottom side, and up pole without problems.

previous reviewer stated monoprices speakers did not fit. im not sure how this is possible, i only see they are selling bookshelf speakers which im sure would sit on the flat base plate fine.

My only con is that be prepared to pay almost double for these. it was right over around $40 to ship 1 set to MD. i wasted sure if i would like these but now i wish i would of ordered the other pair. i have been holding off to order because of those shipping costs.

Pros: Seemed to be good quality.

Cons: Beware! Not compatible with the speakers that Monoprice sells. Too heavy and too expensive to return.
