    Smooth Full-Motion TV Wall Mount Bracket (Min 5.5 - Max 44 lbs, 26 - 47 inch)

Add another dimension to your HDTV wall mount with this Smooth Motion Adjustable Tilting/Swiveling Wall Mount Bracket from Monoprice!

Most fully articulating wall mounts provide adjustment on three dimensions: swivel the display angle horizontally, tilt the display angle vertically, and extend the display out away from the wall. This mount adds the ability to adjust the height of the display.

Equipped with an adjustable counterbalance weight in the extension arm, this mount can be height adjusted up to 13" with nothing more than a gentle push. When the counterbalance weight is properly adjusted, the arm will stay in position, without creeping upwards or downwards.

The mount is designed to fit a wide range of TV VESA sizes, including 100x100, 200x100, 200x200, 300x300, 400x200, and 400x400. The extension arms allow the display to be situated anywhere from 2.2" to 22.8" away from the wall. The bracket can swivel 90° in either direction, can be tilted up to 15° up or down and can be rotated ±3° to ensure that your display is leveled.

The bracket is designed to fit most TVs in the 26" to 47" size range, with weight between 5.5 and 44 lbs (2.5 ~ 20 kg). It comes with all the hardware needed to mount the bracket to a wooden stud or concrete/brick wall surface. Additionally, it comes with eight sets of mounting screws of various sizes to attach the bracket to your display, as well as the Allen keys needed to adjust the arm counterbalance.

Great product, but read my installation tips

Pros: Solid, well designed, very high quality.

Cons: Installation manual not so great.

Before purchasing this wall mount, I read every review and some were extraordinarily helpful, so I would like to "pay it forward" to anyone contemplating this purchase. The user manual leaves questions unanswered, and although I didn't ask Monoprice for help, I am sure their excellent tech support could have supplemented the manual, but hopefully after reading this, you can install it yourself. I was mounting a 27-inch monitor, not a television, and compared to a television, it is relatively small and light (16.7 pounds, according to the spec sheet for item 12520), so keep that in mind when reading this - my experience may not apply to you. I mounted the arm on a wall with wood studs. First, be sure your pilot holes are big enough and deep enough for the screws. I started out with a different screw than the ones that came with the mount (as suggested by another reviewer) and one of them snapped apart inside the wall. So I started over again, using the supplied screws. I had do re-drill one of my pilot holes. My advice is, when screwing into a stud, if you encounter resistance you feel is too great, back out the screw, enlarge the pilot hole, just a little, and try again. Next, the mounting plate has pre-drilled holes for VESA 100 and 200, so if you are mounting a monitor with either of these VESA specs, you don't need the extensions supplied with the unit. The manual does not mention that. The large array of included screws does not include the size you may need for the monitor mount. I used the ones that came with the monitor, no problem. TIP: attach any cables you may need for the monitor before attaching the mounting plate. After the plate is on, it will be more difficult to get to them. Once the wall unit is installed, hold the arm nearest the wall, and press down on the arm closest to the monitor. This will allow you to attach the monitor without having to hold it too high. Attaching the monitor to the arm was way easier than I expected, as was leveling it. The system back there is brilliantly designed. The pre-set tension was exactly right for my monitor so I didn't make any adjustments. Note that the allen screw to adjust the tension is not visible until you lower the arm. This is an important point and the manual doesn't explain it. One reviewer said to mount the wall plate higher than you would intuitively choose, and I am so glad I read that. It will allow you the full range of motion. I mounted mine so the bottom of the wall plate is 13 inches above my desk. I am extremely happy with this purchase. I'm subtracting a couple stars for the inadequate manual, but adding them back for the great design, especially where the monitor attaches to the arm. Solid 10. I hope this helps you.

May be a great mount, but pointless if screws are weak

    Pros: Looks pretty sturdy
Similar design to models from other companies charging up to $250

Cons: Certain important parts are cheaply made,

I would love to be happy with this purchase, but I cant use it due to the giant but soft screw used to mount it to the wall. All three striped on me before going in completely. I even slightly marred the finish in my hard fought battle to remove the screws once they stripped. Really unhappy to have such an occurrence. I'm not new to mounting equipment to walls so it's not a case of a learning curve..Why cant harder screws be included instead? They are incredibly hard to get in at such a diameter as it is.

Pros: Great build quality. Sturdy and flexible.

    Cons: none

I shopped around for a long time to find mounting arms for my 2 23" LCD monitors, and finally settled on these.

I was concerned about the build quality since this price was so much cheaper than all the other alternatives out there. I turned out to be totally wrong! The metal mounts are HEAVY in a GOOD way, as soon as you pick them up out of the box, you know they're solid and well crafted. The arms mounted easily into my wall, and adjusting the monitors in all positions and orientations works great.

Will not handle max weight it claims

Pros: Uses one stud, but read my cons.

    Easy installation.

    Cons: Flimsy.

Joints flex and loosened up after pulling TV out twice.

    Mount crushed and cracked drywall

Will not support max weight stated.

This mount will NOT handle the max weight it claims, which is 44lbs. My TV is a 46" LCD which weighed exactly 44lbs. The tension screw can keep the arm adjusted to your viewing height preference, but the joints where the arms bolt to flex and loosened up immediately. The TV was extremely hard to pull out away from the wall and then get it back to center over the fireplace. The TV was shaking and sagging to either side. We were laughing when we were operating this mount. Such a joke.

In all honesty, if your TV weighs 20lbs or less and is smaller than a 46/47", this mount might be okay. I would not get anywhere near the max weight or max size.

Also keep in mind that since it mounts to one stud, when you bolt it down all the pressure is in that small area and it will crack and crush your drywall around the mount.
