Pros: Solid construction and quite easy to install. Great articulating action, smooth and feels secure.
More than enough hardware included for install.

Cons: Instructions on how to use the included, additional brackets was a little vague.

Always like finding great deals from Monoprice and this one was no exception. Even with the duty charges on this order it was still a fantastic product for the price.
The unit is solid, feels quality and included more than enough mounting hardware for just about any location.
Mine was simple, for a bedroom TV mount to a drywall / stud location.
Mounted a 40" Sony TV to it and did not need to use the included, alternate mounting brackets. Good thing, as the instructions were a little hard to understand how they would work. Plus, the holes to mount these brackets to the main mount were too small for the included screws and would have required them to be drilled out slightly.
Had I needed them, it wouldn't have been a big issue, just an additional step in the already simple process.
Took me about 30 min to mount, including stud location and such.
The wire holding tracks were easy to remove and replace - had read some comments regarding clips breaking, but mine went back in no problem.

Thanks Monoprice! Always go looking here first for whatever I need.

Great wall mount with plenty of VESA options

Pros: Sturdy construction. Easy to assemble and install. Fits an array of VESA sizes. Hardware was better than expected for an imported product. The TV can be turned fully in both directions with the arms extended with no sagging.

Cons: Plastic cable sleeves have flimsy retaining pins that snapped right off. Needed cable ties to secure the sleeves in place. Plan to accommodate that the mount is offset to one side when folded.

I needed to wall mount a 40" Sony Bravia that has 200 x 300 (200 height x 300 width) VESA mounting pattern. Since this mount does not list this size, I anticipated needing to modify the mount for my application. What I did was to use the upper and lower wings on only one side. This provided the needed 300mm spacing for the width. I did not use them on the right side. I also used the provided spacers so the metal parts were not directly on the TV. Since the VESA mounting holes are very low on this TV, I trimmed the lower wing so it was not visible at the bottom of the set. Aside from trimming the wing, no other holes or modifications were needed. The mount is rigid and sturdy when installed in this fashion. When installed as provided the TV will not be centered when the mount is folded close to the wall. By eliminating the wings on the right side it is now almost centered - within a few inches. There is no mention of this mounting option in the manual, but the result was a very secure installation for my VESA configuration. It easily supports this 17 pound, 40" Sony TV at full extension.

Except for initial leveling and holding the mounting plate to mark the mounting screw hole locations on the wall, no assistance was needed for installation. Just plan your assembly steps to avoid wrestling with a heavy TV to insert mounting screws. The provided assembly instructions are brief, but should be adequate for most DIYers.

The build quality and hardware where much better than expected. The metal parts are rigid and nicely finished. I always use the correct size bits to tighten hardware. I drilled pilot holes into the wall stud and avoided using too much torque to reduce the risk of damaging screw heads. This is especially important if using power tools. VESA screws on the TV should ALWAYS be tightened by hand. The result was no stripped heads.

The only casualty were the flimsy plastic retaining pins on the two cable guides that attach to the arms. All the pins easily snapped right off when placing them back onto the arms. Thank goodness for cable ties from my tool box - an easy fix to hold the cable guides in place. As designed these miniscule retaining pins are just not robust enough to do anything useful except to hold them in place during packing and shipping. The cable guides themselves are a nice touch, just not functional with the existing retaining pin design. Otherwise, this mount is a 10 out of 10.

Pros: well built heavy construction
fits various vesa standards
holds 125lbs
comes with alot of hardware (see cons)

Cons: while it did come with a lot of hardware it did not include the needed bolts for my 40" seiki tv (M5s)

i gave the mount 9 out of 10 only due to the fact i had to hunt down correct mounting bolts for my tv which can be a pain if you ever had to endure this. Luckily i had spare bolts from a previous mount i also purchased here on monoprice. It's very simple to install. I have mine mounted above my fireplace into the brick chimney. Just be sure to use correct mounting when installing in brick or masonary

Pros: Easily adjustable. Works well.

Cons: None

Heavy Duty, well made device. Have purchased several wall mounts over the years that were flimsy and sagged when extended. This one is solid.

Pros: Very attractive, strong and sturdy wall mount.

Cons: None.

The bracket was simply great. It was installed in no time and the TV fitted well. Moving the TV is very smooth, and can extend quite far from the wall.
Monoprice's price and prompt delivery were impressive. I will recommend Monoprice to anyone looking for nice products at decent prices.
