Pros: Extremely sturdy construction. Articulates smoothly. Lays nearly flush when needed

Cons: Phillips head bolts are a pain to deal with, makes installation take MUCH longer than it should.

I bought 2 of these, one for a 29" TV, the other for a 40" TV.

Installation was NOT as easy as other mounts I've used. Perhaps it's due to the fact that the bolts they provide for stud mounting are Phillips head, and you cannot use a socket wrench to screw it in. You're basically resigned to using a drill to get enough torque to twist the screws, but this is highly ineffective. That being said, VERY solid construction and great heft to the product. I definitely am a fan now that the TV was mounted, but mounting took far too long.

The 2nd mount I was going to use for a 40" I dealt with the pain of mounting it, only to determine that, once mounted, it couldn't handle the bolts my TV uses in it's mounting setup (M8 bolts, but the mount can only handle up to M5). To be fair, I should have checked to ensure the TV mounts fit before dealing with mounting it. Then I had the fun of trying to unmount it with Phillips head screws that destroyed a few Phillips head drivers already.

My recommendation to any buyer, would be to spend the $4 at a local hardware store for bolts that you can use a socket wrench with. It makes installation effortless. My recommendation to Monoprice is to start stocking these with hex bolts so consumers can use a socket wrench to ratchet them in. It saves time and energy.

I do, ultimately, recommend this product despite the headache I had with installation. It is very well built, and a few bucks at a local hardware store would make this worth every penny.

Pros: Quality built, excellent price, holds up my 16 lbs 43" TV perfectly in the corner of my shop wall about 7 feet off the floor. Conceals all wiring perfectly.

    Cons: None.

Product delivered in a very timely manner. Product was easy and quick to install once the wall stud was located. 39" TV looks perfect and can be adjusted for proper viewing angle. Great to take the TV off of the bedroom dresser providing more room for my wife's "stuff"! She is very happy!

Pros: Works great in a corner spot

The mount works as expected and then some. I had to mount this in the corner of my outdoor bar. It gives enough clearance for my 32" TV to fit nicely.

    Excellent Choice

Pros: Small but heavy duty. Perfect corner adjustability. Easy to mount with a little help from the wife. Easily handles an LCD tv that is a little over the stated size size chart but well under the weight chart.

I purchased a 48" Vizio LCD that had to go on a tv stand in the corner of my living room. It was replacing a 40" Panasonic Plasma tv. The new Vizio comes with the stand legs that are at each end of the tv rather than the center located stand on th eold tv. My tv cabinet was not wide enough for the new tv and I couldn't replace the cabinet with one that would be wide enough, due to the corner location. So, I had to mount it to the wall above the cabinet to nestle it far enough back to be out of the way of foot traffic into the room. I searched and found this unit that fit the bill according to weght limit and VESA mounting hole configuration. This unit was described as "corner friendly." It turned out to be the perfect mount for the corner and my situation. Several of the previous reviewers mentioned the mounting screws being of poor quality. I marked and drilled my holes in the stud and then used my Milwaukee driver to drive the screws before mounting the bracket, removing the screws and then mointing the bracket to the wall. The driver, with it hammer type action, probably helped in driving the screws without breaking. With my wife helping, I attached the tv to the bracket before mounting to the wall. Sounds bad but worked well for us. The tv originally tilted badly to the left after mounting. There was slop in the bracket at the tilting joint. There is a torx head screw on one side and a handle on the other. I simply leveled the tv and tightened the torx screw to make it steady and level. I can't believe how easy ithe unit glides to adjust and nestle into the corner of the room. Tis ended up being an excellent choice.
