Regarding 300 x 300 mounting

Pros: It extends far and feels smooth and strong.

Cons: The 16" stud spacing. The thin plastic used to hold the cables to the mount. I received a cracked one but it wasn't going to be used anyways. Doesn't support 300x300 vesa right out of the box. -3 points total.

I figured I would be able to engineer the mount to fit my vizio m55 tv's 300x300 mounting. It turned out to be easier than expected. There is a row of 6mm tapped holes on the back of the tv mount which hold the brackets in place. They don't go narrow enough so I just drilled and tapped 4 new holes. It doesn't make sense that they didn't just add another hole to the row of holes already there.

Pros: sturdy, adjustable, very long extension

Cons: two person installation, some adjustment lost due to TV VESA mount design

I am only using a 37" TV, but it is older and CFL so its heavier than current 37" TVs. It allows for two studs if they are spaced 16" apart. Lagging 6 bolts into lumbar makes this thing rock solid. I had no issues with the provided bolts, but did drill the right pilot holes (people often don't realize how important this is and skip it or do it wrong).

It is super smooth, no sagging, and holds its position even when fully extended. I am super pleased with this one.

The only way it could be better is if the TV mounting bars were designed differently. Rather than bolt onto the main mount, they could use a hanging design. This would allow for complete adjustment of the TV height. As it is, you can only use a few of the other height options. As you move it up and down the cross bars cover some of the holes you may need. I think they have a different version of this mount that uses an improved hanger style TV attachment, but it is only 24" extension. For me I'd rather have the (legit!) 31" and take care to mount it on the wall at the right height.

Very well done Monoprice!

Good Choice

Pros: Heavy duty. Provides TV movement to many angles.

Cons: Plastic cable keepers are very brittle. I cracked two during installation. The mount is very heavy duty and durably constructed. It seems an oversight that the keepers are so fragile.

The instructions were a bit under-detailed in some places, but I figured it out.

Despite the listed cons, still glad I purchased this. I removed the fragile cable keepers and used wire ties instead.

Pros: Sturdy. Smooth. Cheap!

Cons: None.

I mounted my 50" Samsung Plasma TV using this mount with the help of a friend. Used some common sense and the plentiful hardware included to solidly put this up in my bedroom. It is awesome. It sits on the wall over a larger dresser, angled the way we like it and it comes out a mile (aka 30 inches) without any dipping or straining! It comes out so much I have to watch I don't smack my head walking by to go to the washroom. So it keeps the TV out of the way and looking nice and centered over our dresser when not in use, and we pull out the TV and bring the movie or hockey game to us when we're in bed. Great, great mount!

Pros: super strong. pulling the TV out and pivoting left or right is very smooth.

Cons: The trade off for the strength is that the mount doesn't fold extremely flat against the wall. That's just b/c the arms are so beefy. I'm happy to accept that trade-off.

This bracket is rock solid. This is the second one I've installed in my house. I love them because they are so strong. There is no sense, even when extended 100%, that the assembly is going to dip or bow. The directions aren't fantastic, but it's not too hard to figure out. It's nice that it comes with screws, etc for many different configurations / situations.
