    Plastic bits smashed

Very nice sturdy mount. Too bad the plastic cable covers and hole plugs are so fragile. Mine arrived with 3 of 4 of the pivot hinge hole covers smashed off and 2 of the cable covers were broken. Fortunately, this is all behind the TV where you can't see it anyway. Otherwise, a very nice sturdy mount.

    DOES NOT STAY LEVEL

    Pros: Extension works well
    Swivel works well
    Sturdy

Cons: Rotation (level) is poorly designed and will no longer stay level.
Mount is so big, it covers the power cable and restricts me from unplugging my tv.

I use the swivel and pull my tv in and out of my wall cubby all of the time. After a very short time the rotation of the tv was no longer staying level. There is one allen screw to hold the tv level and it just does not tighten well enough to hold the tv in place. Now the tv is sliding all by itself as the rotation screw is no longer working as intended.

    Hello,

I am truly sorry to hear that PID 5920 is no longer keeping the TV level. Do you happen to have the order number for this mount? Please let me know so we can look into this matter further. My apologies again for the trouble and thank you for your feedback!

    Regarding 200x200 mounting

    Pros: Sturdy
    Great extension and rotation

Cons: Directions leave a lot to be desired
Tilt is a bit of a pain to adjust/operate, but luckily that is set it once kind of thing or very infrequent adjustment.=

Its a very stout mount - however, knocked off one star for lack of instructions/details on how to mount to a VESA 200x200. Basically you just mount the TV directly to the mount and forego using the adapter bracket (for larger VESA patterns, the adapter bracket bolts to the TV, and then you bolt the TV+adapter bracket to the mount. So several pounds of steel are completely unused if mounting to a VESA 200x200 pattern.

    Well worth the money

    Pros: Cheap
Shipped faster than other things I've ordered
    Works great!

Cons: Check your stud bays! (16" apart)
Have a patient friend at the ready (heavy and cumbersome)
Have zip ties and long cables to wire manage properly

Used this to mount an older 59" Plasma in a recessed area. I did not have any issues attaching this mount to the TV like others have mentioned, but I have a popular TV brand so I can only assume they didn't or something.
Issues I can confirm: a) the wire covers are cheap and can't cover multiple cables. One was broken on arrival
    b) Designed to work with 16" stud bays. If you don't have them, be prepared to rig some 2x4's up or some support on the stud spacing you do have
    c) My TV is older and heavier than new ones. Even with maximum negative tilt (towards the ceiling) from the help of a friend and me tightening the tilt control (both of them, the one with the handle and the one on the other side that requires an allen key) the TV still tilts downward.
    d) different designed mounts allow you to mount the bracket, then the arms, then the TV. This mount has the bracket and the arms attached making it difficult to hold in the perfect spot, level, and then mark by yourself. Get a strong friend to help.

All the above only takes off one star. I am a professional installer and I knew what I was getting into before ordering so although it sounds like a lot of issues, it wasn't that bad. Overall, I can't complain. I got this for an EXCELLENT price (thanks Monoprice!!) and it holds my TV far away from the wall like I wanted. In the end it does what I wanted it to do and that's the most important part.

Best mount for the money for angled viewing

Pros: Great viewing angle with 42" TV
Sturdy, smooth operation when moving or tilting
Easy installation on 16 in center wood studs

Cons: Cable attachments could be better

Found this mount on web by accident after installing and having to return a similar product from big box store.. The problem with mounts that extend and tilt out as far as this one does is that they DO NOT STAY LEVEL when moved, however this mount stays very level no matter where its moved or tilted, very solid with double extension arms. I used this on a 42" Samsung so I called customer service to ask about mounting of my tv as I needed a very large viewing angle from the wall and they were very helpful. As many have reviewed this is a good company with excellent products for the money. I gave this 4 stars because as others have noted cable holders are flimsy and were damaged however I did not need them.
