    Pretty Good, Could Be Better

Pros: Pulls out and turns relatively easily
Very sturdy (I'm about 160 lbs and hung on it at nearly full extension before mounting the TV to be sure it would hold my $2K investment)

Cons: Cable chases pop off too easy and break during installation
    Tilt adjustment could be improved

First let me say overall I'm happy with this purchase. I purchased two and I found installation to be pretty straight forward. Make sure you know what size bolts you need for your TV and make sure you have bolts that are the correct length. The mount comes with some but I find they are rarely the length I need. Also the spacers didn't work for my TV. Fortunately my TV came with spacers. Personally I feel every TV should come with spacers and bolts since they are all different. Besides that, I don't like philips heads on bolts because they are too easy to strip. So I purchased hardened steel hex head bolts at my local hardware store for everything (wall lags, mount adapter plate to mount and mount adapter plate to TV). I also got washers and lock washers to make sure none of the bolts back out over time.

The mount is VERY sturdy. I hung on it to be sure before mounting my expensive new TV. If you decide to hang on it as well to make sure it will hold, you do so at your own risk :-)

The mount pulls out and turns pretty easily. At about 75% extension and beyond you might have to reach behind the TV and push the arms apart to get the mount to push back to the wall to avoid pushing too hard on the TV. But that's not surprising, that's just physics.

The cable chases are a joke. One was even broken on arrival. The tiny little plastic clips that hold them on don't stand a chance against the massive steel arms of the mount. They kept popping out and I found them to be in the way when we were trying to install the mount. In hindsight I probably should have removed them for the install. An improvement would be to thread the holes in the mount and use screws instead of clips to hold the cable chases in place.

The tilt mechanism could use some improvement. It has an allen bolt on one side and a handle on the other. Tightening the handle on the one side didn't properly tighten both sides so it would lean to one side. I had to tighten the allen bolt as well to get it to stay level. But now that both sides are nice and tight the TV stays level.

The arms have some play in them so don't worry to much about getting the wall plate level. With all the hole tolerances for the hardware, the play in the arms and the tilt mechanism the TV will never be level no matter how level you get the wall plate. Get the wall plate close to level and then level the TV by tightening the tilt mechanism on both sides as I mentioned.

I installed a 65" TV on this mount. If you are worried that the description says only up to 63", disregard that. Go by the max weight of the mount vs weight of your TV AND the VESA pattern. I imagine if I had much less than 60" of TV the adapter plates that mount on the back of the TV might extend above or below the TV requiring cutting them shorter if you don't want them visible. YMMV

My TV has a 400 x 400 VESA pattern. I had to flip the TV mount brackets to the inside to get them to fit. The instructions are not great so I had to figure that one out on my own (I seem to recall someone mentioning this in a prior review as well).

PRE-DRILL YOUR WALL HOLES!!! I got hardened steel lags (better than the ones that come with the mount) and I pre-drilled a little small to make sure I got a good bite and the head still snapped on one of the bolts. Hold the drill bit up to the bolt and make sure the drill bit is the size of the lag shank (solid part of the lag). If you hold them up side-by-side and look through the drill bit to the lag you should be able to see threads on the lag but not the shank (or very little of it). If you see a lot of shank you need a bigger bit. I wish I could remember the size drill bit I used first that caused the lag to snap and the size I stepped up to that worked for all the rest but now I don't recall. Just don't blame snapped lags on the hardware.

    Awesome mount

This is a great mount. Very sturdy, and the tv doesn't move at all, even full extended. We were worried that it really wouldn't hold the tv fully extended, since we needed one that would extend at least 29 inches, but it holds it up perfectly. Word to the wise, this is a heavy mount to install, and really can't be done by just one person. Make sure you have another person near by to help, because you'll most likely need it.

    Plastic bits smashed

Very nice sturdy mount. Too bad the plastic cable covers and hole plugs are so fragile. Mine arrived with 3 of 4 of the pivot hinge hole covers smashed off and 2 of the cable covers were broken. Fortunately, this is all behind the TV where you can't see it anyway. Otherwise, a very nice sturdy mount.

    Pros: Extension works well
    Swivel works well

Cons: Rotation (level) is poorly designed and will no longer stay level.
Mount is so big, it covers the power cable and restricts me from unplugging my tv.

I use the swivel and pull my tv in and out of my wall cubby all of the time. After a very short time the rotation of the tv was no longer staying level. There is one allen screw to hold the tv level and it just does not tighten well enough to hold the tv in place. Now the tv is sliding all by itself as the rotation screw is no longer working as intended.

I am truly sorry to hear that PID 5920 is no longer keeping the TV level. Do you happen to have the order number for this mount? Please let me know so we can look into this matter further. My apologies again for the trouble and thank you for your feedback!
