Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Earphones with Built-in Microphone and In-line Controls Compatible with Android™ Devices

Get great sound and full compatibility with your Android™ device using this pair of Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Earphones with Built-in Microphone and In-line Controls from Monoprice!

These earphones feature 6.5mm magnets and an impedance of 16 ohms. They boast a 20Hz ~ 20kHz frequency response at 3mW, a 108dB sensitivity, and less than 5% THD at 1kHz.

The in-line control unit is where the microphone is located, along with the controls, which allow you to increase or decrease the volume, pause and resume playback, skip tracks forward, and to answer, terminate, or ignore incoming calls. They come with small, medium (installed), and large earbuds, so they will fit almost any sized ear.

Note that the in-line control is designed for Android devices using the CTIA standard, which places the ground on the second ring of the TRRS plug instead of the sleeve. This is the current standard used by almost all Android smartphones.

Note that when used with Apple® iOS® devices, only the volume controls will function on the in-line controller. If you have an iOS device, you should order the Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Earphones with Built-in Microphone and In-line Controls for iPhone®, iPod®, and iPad® V1.2 (PID 9980) instead.

    Inexpensive price as the quality

    Pros: cheap

Cons: I forgot I ordered these before, you get what you paid for. Middle button does not pause or answers the phone, they don't last long

    see above.

    Hi Carlos,

If I may ask, what is the make and model of your phone? Did the middle button ever work with this phone? Would it be possible to test the button with a different phone just to see if there is any difference? Also, just to verify, were there any other issues that you were experiencing with the earphones (lack of audio, physical defects, etc.)? Please let me know so I can best assist you in resolving this matter. Sorry for the trouble and thank you for your feedback!

Iphone 6, middle button works with the apple headphone. Will try it on my son's Galaxy.

I forgot I bought this product before, they lasted about 2 weeks and I'm a light user.

I see. That would be the issue, unfortunately. These earphones are more intended for Android devices. Please note that the description for this item states that only the volume controls will work when these earphones are used with Apple iOS devices. For the iPhone 6, we offer PID 13801 instead which would allow you to play, pause, and skip. The down-side would be that those earphones do not have a volume control.

    PID 13801:

My apologies for the trouble and I hope this helps.

Pros: The sound was very good, and I was very please with this product

Cons: One of the earbuds has become intermittent after about a month of use.

The product sounds good, and worked well until about a month later when one of the earbuds has become intermittent.

Great Sound but poor quality structure of inline controls

Pros: The sound quality is exceptional. The ear buds are very comfortable with different sizes provided.

Cons: The inline audio controller encasement came apart.

These would be perfect ear buds without the inline audio controller. I found that I never even used the controller. After a while, the audio controller came apart into 2 halves, allowing the rubber boots, which keep slack on the wires internally, to pop free. They did continue to work for a bit after attempting to re-assemble. But the slightest tension back on the wire would just break it apart again. They currently no longer work. Bought 2/1/2015

    Great sound, but poor quality.

Pros: Sound great, even if they were 3 times the price. Substantial quality feel to earbuds.

Cons: Silicone eartips fall apart, not covered under warranty.

I was really happy with the audio fidelity, construction and weight of these when I got them in February. But the rubber eartips started to fall apart last month (July) during my weekly bike ride. So they lasted only abut 20-25 bike rides.

    Good Enough

Pros: Inexpensive. Has a nice weight to them. Good quality Sound. Microphone seems to work alright, along with toggle controls.

Cons: Uses round wire instead of flat, whcih makes them tangle easier. The wire casing is a slittle stiff, thus keeping the memory of its folded shape, making it look a little janky. It would be nice if the material would relax a bit, it would have a cleaner presentation when worn.

Honeslty for $10 after shipping, I am hard to pressed to say much in the negative. The sound is good, they have a nice feel to them, granted its cheap to add weight, but its still nice. I thought one earbud had more base than the other, but I've come to the conculsion that I am losing hearing in one of my ears...so ...you know. They work.

    Buy'em ..you wont be sorry.
