Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Earphones with Built-in Microphone and In-line Controls Compatible with Android™ Devices

Get great sound and full compatibility with your Android™ device using this pair of Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Earphones with Built-in Microphone and In-line Controls from Monoprice!

These earphones feature 6.5mm magnets and an impedance of 16 ohms. They boast a 20Hz ~ 20kHz frequency response at 3mW, a 108dB sensitivity, and less than 5% THD at 1kHz.

The in-line control unit is where the microphone is located, along with the controls, which allow you to increase or decrease the volume, pause and resume playback, skip tracks forward, and to answer, terminate, or ignore incoming calls. They come with small, medium (installed), and large earbuds, so they will fit almost any sized ear.

Note that the in-line control is designed for Android devices using the CTIA standard, which places the ground on the second ring of the TRRS plug instead of the sleeve. This is the current standard used by almost all Android smartphones.

Note that when used with Apple® iOS® devices, only the volume controls will function on the in-line controller. If you have an iOS device, you should order the Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Earphones with Built-in Microphone and In-line Controls for iPhone®, iPod®, and iPad® V1.2 (PID 9980) instead.

    Pros: They work !

Cons: Like I said, it may be my current mp3 player, but I was using some emergency earphones with this same player, that were very mid range sounding and loud... but they had more Bass.
My real complaint, .... Monoprice makes such great cables. PLEASE use a thicker cable on these headphones. My original Hi-Fi pair did not last long before one side stopped working. I'm not hard on cables, but I am relegated to walking often or riding a Bus. That means, mp3 player in pants pocket, Earphone cable from there, up my shirt, out my collar into my ear. I'm very careful, yet I can tell this pair will not last long. It doesn't need to be as thick as your fantastic 3.5mm extension cables, but the cable should be a tad thicker, especially the last few inches to the headphone jack, although, personally, I wouldn't mind if the entire length of cable was thicker/sturdier.
Don't mean to complain.... I like you guys!!!

Bass? I'd hate to think of what the NON Bass enhancing headphones sound like. I bought a cheaper pair of headphones from Monoprice once, I think they were the Hi-fi Premium Noise Isolating Earphones - Red & Black. They may have had more Bass, except I'm now using a different mp3 player and I can't really compare them. These sound okay, but I had to use the Equalizer in the mp3 player and turn all the High frequencies down to below the mid point.

Sounds great but they can't hear you!

Pros: Fits into ear well. Listening to music is great.

Cons: Microphone is poor and not really usable.

These are sold as Earphones with built-in microphone. While the earphones work well no one can hear anything I am saying when I use these with my iPhone 6s. They hear garbled noise.

    Best inexpensive earphones I've found

Pros: Comfortable, great fit, excellent value

Cons: Once got a set without replacement ear pads contacted MonoPrice and they sent me a full replacement ASAP

I bought these on a whim a long time ago, and was blown away with the value. As they get lost, or other pairs get lost, I've replaced them with these.

I'm not an audiophile, and I'm sure if I was, I'd have a lot of things to comment on about sound quality (as I would for anything costing less than a few hundred dollars), but for me, the sound quality is excellent.

Can't beat the sound quality for this price.

    Pros: Sound quality is amazing
    Good fit.
    comfortable to wear.

    Cons: Cord tangles easily
Inline pause control didn't work for me (android).
Left and right arn't labeled. Thankfully the inline controls are above the split, so I don't have to test them each time. I just have to remember the controls go on the right.

At less than $10, you would be very hard pressed to find better sound quality. I don't expect they will last very long, but when they break, I will just get another set.

Pros: Monoprice, great company and cheap. So cheap, I don't think its worth the hassle to return them.

Cons: Shorted out one ear piece. should re-design plug

I have had a couple Monoprice earbud headphones in the last year, the last pair went through the laundry at least ten times. I ordered these to replace them but one of the buds has a short where the plug is. A little wiggle and it cuts in and out. The last pair had a 90 degree plug and since i always have it plugged in to my phone while its in my pocket, the plug design will be a necessity for the next pair.
