    Premium Bluetooth® Hi-Fi Over-the-Ear Headphones - Black

So you want a pair of high fidelity headphones, with the convenience of wireless Bluetooth® connectivity, but don't feel like dropping three bills on them? Fortunately you don't have to spend a lot of money to get high quality. A case in point is this pair of Premium Bluetooth Hi-Fi Over-the-Ear Headphones from Monoprice!

These headphones use a single 50mm woofer and three 13mm tweeters in each earpiece to deliver superb sound quality across the entire musical spectrum. They feature a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20KHz and a 120dB sensitivity, so you will hear every note with clarity and as much volume as you can handle.

The Bluetooth A2DP and AVRCP profiles are supported for music, allowing for wireless transmission of the audio signal as well as remote operation of the source device using the controls on the headset. The headphones have a built-in microphone and support the Bluetooth HFP and HSP profiles, so you can use them to answer and place calls from your smartphone. The Bluetooth module has a reception range of about 30-60 feet in clear air.

As amazing and convenient as Bluetooth connectivity is, you still have to have a phone or music player with you or within Bluetooth range. However, with these Monoprice Headphones, you don't even need a phone or music player. Just plug a micro SD card into the card slot in the right earpiece and listen to your favorite music directly off the card. The headphones support micro SD cards up to 32GB capacity and can play mp3 and wma files. When connected to a PC or Mac® through the USB interface you can see the micro SD card like any other drive on your system, allowing you to copy or delete files without the need for a separate card reader.

The headphones have a built-in Lithum-polymer battery with capacity for up to 20 hours of playback/talk time and a whopping 325 hours of standby time. The battery takes about 3 hours for a full charge and is charged using the included micro USB cable. Included in the package is also a 3.5mm AUX cable to allow the headphones to be used in wired mode.

Note: The Box and manual for this item state that there are two additional cables included for a total of four cables. This is a misprint and is not the case. The only cables included are pictured, and mentioned above. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Note that the manual incorrectly states that this supports microSD cards up to 64GB. The actual limit is 32GB. Additionally, the manual states that the microSD card should be formatted with exFAT. In fact, it should be formatted to FAT32. We apologize for this error and will get it corrected as soon as possible.

    Heavy and bluetooth connection issues

    • Josh,
    •  Grants Pass, OR
    • 11/24/2014 9:00:02 AM

Pros: The sound quality is good for the price.
Pads are comfortable for brief period.

    Cons: Too heavy.
Difficulty reconnecting when alternating between multiple bluetooth devices.
Constant flashing light while in use.

I was disappointed with these headphones from the beginning, but I wanted to give them a fair shake. This review is after about a month of daily usage.

*The audio quality is on par with the entry level Beats headphones at a fraction of the cost. I like bass and this set delivers. Highs/mids are acceptable to me, but I can see how people not listening to rap/r&b might be left wanting more but for ~$50, I'm not sure you'll find much better in a wireless model.

*The padding is comfortable and provides just the right amount of cushion until the overall weight of the headset becomes overbearing.

*Way too heavy. Yes, other reviews mentioned this but I ignored it because I've heard the same complaint with other headphones I've purchased and I was always fine with them Not this time. I figured sitting at my desk all day, a little heavy wouldn't bother me, but I find myself only being able to take about an hour or two of usage before having to take a break.

*Bluetooth connection issues. I like to connect to my pc at work during the day, and take my headphones home with me after work to use at home on my phone (galaxy s5) or laptop. However, I have to forget the device in whatever device I'm trying to reconnect it to, and re-pair as if it were the first time almost every time. I've never had this problem with other BT devices.

*The lighting on the right side of the headset where the buttons are flash blue every few seconds. Not a big deal during the day at the office, but when I'm working late night in bed, it lights up the room enough to annoy anyone next to you trying to sleep.

I see these have been discontinued now, I'm guessing for some of the reasons people have listed in previous reviews.

    Bummer Headphones

Pros: - Pretty good sound for a low price
    - Construction seems just as good at some beats headphones

    Cons: - Huge!
    - Uncomfortable after 30 mins of use.
    - Sometimes you're not sure if you connected with flashing lights and beeps.
    - Seems hard to turn off.

I bought these headphones to work out in and didn't want to pay the inflated Beats price. Most of the items I order from from Monoprice are pretty good quality. I ordered these and they started hurting one of my ears. They became very uncomfortable after prolonged use. They were heavy and just didn't seem to sit on my head right. I would constantly adjust in the gym. I was hoping these would work out. The previous reviews are so hit and miss it was hard to get a good read on the purchase. I bit the bullet and decided to be my own judge. I ended sending them back. Monoprice was very helpful with the RMA and I ended up ordering the new on the ear bluetooth headphones that look a lot better. These headphones are discontinued so my review may be moot at this point. I would like to point out Monoprice's spot on customer service as usual. Cheers!

Discontinued Right After I Bought Them

    Pros: Great sound
    Decent appearance
Consistently and reliably pair with bluetooth

    Cons: INCREDIBLY heavy.
Discontinued right after I bought them.

I should have paid more attention to the reviews that said they were heavy. I thought people were being dramatic. These headphones are pretty much unusable as they make my head hurt from the weight. Otherwise good headphones and worth the price, but their weight rendered them useless to me.

I was also disappointed to see them discontinued so quickly after I purchased them and for them to announce a new lightweight newer model. I was just out of luck.

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear that PID 10245 is not working out for your needs. If truly dissatisfied with the purchase, I can help setup an RMA for a return in case you wanted to try a different pair of headphones. Since we are past the 30 day period for a refund, we would only be able to offer store credit. Please let me know if you would like to proceed with that offer and I can get it started right away. Apologies again for the trouble and hope this helps!

That is very kind of you. Are the new headphones that replaced them lighter? That is what I read when I first saw the product. If that is the case I'd love to try out the newer, lighter headphones.

Thanks again. Every time I interact with the folks at Monoprice it only solidifies my approach to always look on Monoprice first when I want to buy something.

    Pros: looks and feels great

Cons: unable to pair it with my ps3

the headset seems like it's great but unfortunately I don't have a pass key included to pair it with my ps3, I know this company is really great and every product I've ever purchased has been amazing. I've noticed in the past whenever people have posted issues here in the reviews they are very quick and eager to help so here's hoping :D

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 10245. Can we try 0000 (four zeros) for the pass code? If that does not work, are you able to pair the headphones with any other devices? Please let me know so we can look into the issue further. Thank you in advance!
