Premium Hi-Fi DJ Style Over-the-Ear Pro Headphone

DJs can put in some long hours as they spin the tunes and they need equipment that is both comfortable and rugged enough to withstand heavy use. These Monoprice Pro Headphones are designed for the professional sound spinner and the casual listener that wants the best quality sound and best durability available.

The earpieces on these 'phones are equipped with thick, comfortable padding that keeps the music inside and the noise outside. They swivel up to 90 degrees so they can double as a makeshift set of speakers. The headphones can extend up to 1.5" on each side and are wide enough to fit over a cap, while maintaining good contact over the ears. The headpiece is also padded on the inside and is made of flexible rubber, ensuring that it won't break.

The headsets do not have a fixed wire. Instead, there is a 3.5 mm jack in the bottom of the left earpiece, which allows a standard 3.5 mm audio patch cable to be inserted. This means that if you break a wire, you don't have to throw away the headphones or make a messy repair; just get a new cable and you're ready to rock again!

The 50 mm drivers and 100 dB sensitivity ensure that these 'phones produce good volume and premium sound clarity at all frequencies. The kit comes with two 3.5 mm male-to-male, gold-plated audio cables and a 3.5 mm to 1/4" gold-plated adapter plug.

The thicker cable is over 11.5 ft long and is well suited for professional work and for laying back on your couch to enjoy the tunes. A thinner, lightweight cable is also included, which measures about 50" in length and is better suited for more portable operations.

High-quality sound, supreme durability, and maximum comfort. These ARE the 'phones you've been looking for!

    Great Value (While They Last)

    Pros: Great sound.
    Unbeatable price.
    Did I mention unbeatable price?

Cons: Slightly uncomfortable (*if* I re-ordered them, I'd probably spring for the more pillow-y pads that are sold separately for a few bucks)

My pair broke...spontaneously...while I was wearing them. They weren't being tugged on, or slept on, or anything...literally the right plastic part that connects the headband to the earpad just broke while I was sitting on my couch watching TV. Apparently the plastic is cheap enough that the work of *sitting on my head* was too much for it.

tldr version: These are GREAT value headphones, but my pair spontaneously broke after 15 months. So, I guess the question is are you willing to pay $1/month for otherwise decent headphones?

Well-balanced audio quality, the rest is meh

Pros: The audio quality is really nice and it comes with one super long auxiliary cord and one short one for, say, listening on your iPod.

Cons: The design material isn't the greatest. Broke within a few months due to it trying to encompass my head.

If you don't have much money to spend on headphones, go ahead and get these. If you want long lasting headphones and only want a one time payment, you might want to look elsewhere.

    Best quality for the price

    Pros: • PRICE
    • bass/lows
    • decent mids & highs
    • removable cord

Cons: • stock ear pads uncomfortable (I bought velour ear pads to compensate)
    • headband cracks after 9-10 months (was able to RMA with covered shipping costs)
    • lack of sound stage
    • headband is a little tight (really depends on your head size)

As far as headphones at this price range go ($23 avg), these are well worth the price. Very clean bass/lows, decent mids & highs. Lack of sound stage, but expected & acceptable at this price. Stock ear pads aren't too comfortable as they get too hot after wearing too long however, there are velour ear pads available to purchase as a mod which make a huge difference in comfort. The plastic headband does crack through 9-10 months of normal use, but Monoprice easily replaced mine with a new pair when that happened (return shipping was covered by Monoprice as well upon request).

    Good But Slightly Uncomfortable

Pros: Good Sound, Heavy on Bass, very adjustable.

Cons: Small and grow's uncomfortable after a little while of studio time.

Overall the headphones quality is great for the price, though the ear cup's are just a little to small for comfort. I personally don't have a big head and the headphones still hurt my ears after about 30 minutes. If you can get over that these headphone's are actually really good for the price and i recommend them over most other low budget Dj Headphone's.

One of the best headphones for the money

    Pros: good sound reproduction

Cons: comfort issue with the headband

As others have mentioned for the money these are one of the best headphones on the market. Great bass and mid level sounds
They are well made and with normal use should last a long time. I like the idea of two cords being
enclosed with these phones - one shorter and thin and the other heavier and longer which will give you most options for their use. You can use just about any 3.5 mm hookups as needed. The only downside is that there could be more memory foam at the top of the headband .I will not go into details of the sound because I have found in discussions of headphones that it falls into personal tastes and your hearing levels. I would would say that these headphones are honest in their reproduction of sound and for the price ($15.00) you will get enjoyment in your CD's and vinyl records or FM radio.
