    Learn more about Monoprice Business

Premium Hi-Fi DJ Style Over-the-Ear Pro Headphone

DJs can put in some long hours as they spin the tunes and they need equipment that is both comfortable and rugged enough to withstand heavy use. These Monoprice Pro Headphones are designed for the professional sound spinner and the casual listener that wants the best quality sound and best durability available.

The earpieces on these 'phones are equipped with thick, comfortable padding that keeps the music inside and the noise outside. They swivel up to 90 degrees so they can double as a makeshift set of speakers. The headphones can extend up to 1.5" on each side and are wide enough to fit over a cap, while maintaining good contact over the ears. The headpiece is also padded on the inside and is made of flexible rubber, ensuring that it won't break.

The headsets do not have a fixed wire. Instead, there is a 3.5 mm jack in the bottom of the left earpiece, which allows a standard 3.5 mm audio patch cable to be inserted. This means that if you break a wire, you don't have to throw away the headphones or make a messy repair; just get a new cable and you're ready to rock again!

The 50 mm drivers and 100 dB sensitivity ensure that these 'phones produce good volume and premium sound clarity at all frequencies. The kit comes with two 3.5 mm male-to-male, gold-plated audio cables and a 3.5 mm to 1/4" gold-plated adapter plug.

The thicker cable is over 11.5 ft long and is well suited for professional work and for laying back on your couch to enjoy the tunes. A thinner, lightweight cable is also included, which measures about 50" in length and is better suited for more portable operations.

High-quality sound, supreme durability, and maximum comfort. These ARE the 'phones you've been looking for!

One of the best headphones for the money

    Pros: good sound reproduction

Cons: comfort issue with the headband

As others have mentioned for the money these are one of the best headphones on the market. Great bass and mid level sounds
They are well made and with normal use should last a long time. I like the idea of two cords being
enclosed with these phones - one shorter and thin and the other heavier and longer which will give you most options for their use. You can use just about any 3.5 mm hookups as needed. The only downside is that there could be more memory foam at the top of the headband .I will not go into details of the sound because I have found in discussions of headphones that it falls into personal tastes and your hearing levels. I would would say that these headphones are honest in their reproduction of sound and for the price ($15.00) you will get enjoyment in your CD's and vinyl records or FM radio.

Big Bass doesn't compensate for being Uncomfortable

    Pros: Bass, Isolation, Low impedance

    Cons: Uncomfortable, Not fully collapsible

    SOUND
At first listen, I was impressed by the phones' power on the lower end. In using them for gaming, I discovered audio nuances I had previously never heard through my monitor speakers or other headphones in games I've played for years! The full-enclosure muffs provide excellent ambient noise dampening. The speakers make a very subtle air noise when idly connected, and provide a quality listening experience overall.

    COMFORT
However, the padding on top failed to prevent the edge of the band (next to the pad) from digging into my scalp. It wasn't that noticeable at first, but after wearing them for 30+ minutes, the discomfort grew and eventually got so bad that I developed a sore spot on the top of my head. Wearing these headphones for more than a couple hours a day agitates my head to much that I'd rather listen through crappy monitor speakers. Full disclosure, I've had comfort issues with headphones in the past, so maybe my head is overly sensitive or misshapen.

    OTHER
Portability wise, the input jack juts out and does not allow the headphones to collapse fully, leaving the left arm in an awkward position if you try to bring the ear muffs up to the band. A detachable cable with two optional cable lengths is convenient.

Great Sound, Loud Bass, Low price

Pros: Great sound, great bass, comfy, loud, they come with 2 cables and an adapter, the packaging is nice, the price is outrageously good

Cons: there really are no Cons to this product

I love these headphones. the bass is so loud and clear. They really sound so expensive.
I bought my first pair after i read a stellar review on Cnet. Since then, I've bought another half dozen. Some for me, so I can have a pair at home, in my studio, at work, etc and some I've bought for friends and family as gifts. They love them, too!

Big bang on sound, not your wallet

    Pros: Great sound

Cons: Limited colors available for replacement pads

I wanted a set of headphones for when I fly to replace my Beats ear buds which kept falling out. WOW! They produce even better sound than the earbuds. I was blown away (almost literally) by the performance of the 8323 headphones. If you want amazing audio quality of a high-end headphone for less then $20, then these are for you.

    OUTSTANDING VALUE!!

    Cons: NONE

i use headphones for a variety of applications, I have a mobile DJ business and I also am a drummer that gigs on a regular basis. I tend to go thru many sets of headphones a year, usually its the cord on the headphones that goes bad, either the plug end or the end that goes into the actual headset. I saw that these headphones had a replaceable 3.mm cord, it unplugs from the headset portion, so if your cord goes bad, you only have to replace the cord! That was Selling point number one, The price was selling point number 2, the fact that I can order new foam pads for them when the original pads wear out was the next selling point, as we all know these tend to wear out and get flakey and rough, especially when I use them repeatedly to practice songs I need to learn on drums, I plug into an electronic drum set and monitor what I am playing along with the song, but as I practice on my drums, I like all other drummers tend to sweat a lot.. being able to change the pads I thought was awesome, and to have a variety of colors to chose from was even better, but once I plugged these things in and heard the sound quality... I was blown away at how good they sounded... for the price... under $20.00 USD, you will not find headphones that sound incredibly good with great bass response, clear highs, and comfortable, they feel soild, not flimsy and cheap, the cups rotate and allos you to use them as a DJ as well. The features built into these are features found on other high end headphones that cost $200.00 USD or more. I am very impressed and overly satified. They feel solid and well built, they are comfortable to wear, they sound great and they will last forever!! No more tripping on a cable in the dark in a DJ booth and ruining a cable !! Monoprice, you did it again, I am sold on these and will gladly recommend them to anyone!! I will be buying more sets to gift to my kids and DJ friends!!
