    Deluxe Backlit Keyboard

You can type in the dark without making a mistake using this Deluxe Backlit Keyboard from Monoprice!

This keyboard features blue LED lighting for each key. The light illuminates the letters as well as the edges of each key. The illumination can be turned on and off using a key where the Scroll Lock key normally goes (this keyboard does not have a Scroll Lock key). The USB cable is about 58" long.

Pros: Inexpensive, soft blue backights, midsize.

Cons: I always like to have an owners manual, no matter how simple, and there wasn't one.
It would be nice if the on/off key was always lit.

This product satisfied my basic requirement which was obtain a satisfactory backlit keyboard at t reasonable priice.

Pros: What's most important in a keyboard is the type of switches used, this board has quality switches for less then twenty dollars. You can nitpick on other aspects of it but the fact that this has such high quality tactile response when typing overrides these short comings.

Cons: What is there to say its a fifty dollar keyboard sold for half the price?

Great design, solid feel, quality switches.

    Pros: Inexpensive, a good thing.

    Cons: Cheap, a bad thing.

"Backlit" feature, which was the main reason I ordered it, didn't work. Also, the "Z" key didn't work either. Okay keyboard as long as you don't plan to use it in low light or type anything that includes the letter "Z."

    Best keyboard yet!

Pros: Just enough key pressure. Very quiet. Space bar doesn't clatter. Lovely blue light, not too bright. No unnecessary keys with unusual functions to confuse me! Not bulky. Nice no-slip feet.

Cons: Would like the little 'homing' marks on F and J keys to be higher, as I can hardly feel them.

I love this keyboard. I type for a living, and my light source isn't always the best, so this backlit KB is perfect. It isn't too bright, and now I can easily see the difference between the comma and period (very important when typing technical stuff and yes, sometimes I do look to make sure I'm hitting the right key especially with passwords). It's nice and quiet, key pressure is just right, no clatter from the space bar, keys always feel smooth and clean. Of course, the Klingon-inspired blue is very nice. I've used, worn out, and thrown out dozens of keyboards, some of them quite expensive, and have had my style and manufacturer preferences but this is the first keyboard to have all the features I like without any unnecessary fru-fru like a monster wrist pad, special function keys I'll never use, etc. And at such a low price, too! It's a keeper. Oh, and the letters won't wear off the keys because they aren't printed on, they are lit! How cool is that?! It's so cool that if a key stops working or something else renders it unusable, I'm going to replace this KB with an identical one. Is it good for gaming? I've no idea. But for my purposes, mainly typing my fingers off every day, it's perfect.

Great features, just a terrible keyboard to use.

    Pros: light

    Cons: see reviews.

Great disappointment, Keys stick, and the amount of effort to strike the keys is too much. Worst of all, most of the time when you hit the space bar, it doesn't work. Am looking for a new keyboard right now and will throw this one out. (note: spacebar didn't register three times writing this.)
