Adjustable Aluminum Laptop Riser Cooling Stand w/ Built-In 70mm Fan - Black
Keep your laptop cool with this Adjustable Aluminum Riser Cooling Stand from Monoprice!
This stand has an aluminum mounting surface, which combines with the two 70 mm cooling fans to help dissipate damaging heat away from your laptop or notebook computer. The stand can be adjusted to six different angles for optimum positioning of the screen when working at a desk.
The mounting surface measures 12 3/4" wide by 11 3/32" deep. A small lip with a rubber bumper at the front of the stand helps prevent the laptop from slipping off the mounting surface at the higher angles.
A built-in 4-port USB hub is positioned on the left side of the stand. The fans and hub are powered by USB power via the 23" USB A male to mini-B male cable that is included with the stand. A switch on the hub turns the fans on or off and a blue LED indicates when USB power is applied.

Pros: Fits a 13" MacBook perfectly and looks like it was made for it.
Bottom lip does not hurt your wrists whatsoever. Best design I've come across
USB hub is actually usable.
Can't beat the price.
Cons: Not the most ideal for a lap, but doable. It's better made for laptop that is meant to stay on a desk, which is what I purchased it for.
Fans can be a little on the noisy side, but silence was not expected
The detachable USB power cable is nice, but I would not have minded a more discrete non-detachable one.
It works exactly as advertised. I only flip it on when my computer's internal fan starts to spool up and It generally gets it to cool down very quickly. Fans are in the exact right spots for maximum efficiency. When I came across this one, it was a "finally!" moment after searching through tons of other brands. Monoprice comes through again!

Pros: 1. Light weight
2. Multiple USB ports
3. Dual fans prevent overheating
4. Sleek and stylish without the hefty price tag
Cons: 1. Not good for older/heavy laptops
2. Flimsy stand causes laptop to shake while typing
3. No reinforcements for stand
Over all I'd say this is one of the better laptop coolers I've tried. I haven't had any issues with fan noise thus far and it seems to cradle the laptop well. I use it on my an old Dell Inspiron, which is a bit heavy so I had to reinforce the height adjustment stand.

Pros: very sturdy
Cons: none found yet
I bought it for my all in one Dell desktop. The newer models put the cpu in the stand instead of the monitor. It gets very hot sitting on the desk. The laptop fan sits nicely underneath and keeps it cool, now the fan speed on the desktop stays below 1725 RPM instead of the 3717 RPM. The temp stays within limits of a green check on the CPU, less than 49C, prior to using this new fan, the temps were in the high 70C to 80C. Very happy with this purchase, recommend for anyone at a great price, I bought 3.

Pros: SOLID construction, front lip keeps laptop from sliding, USB ports and a switch to turn fans on and off.
Cons: fans are a little loud, but if you play music at your desk, you will not hear them.
Very well constructed and worth twice the price I paid! Well Done MONOPRICE!
Good stand, USB ports are unreliable

Pros: Perfect fit for a MacBook Air or similar.
Allows me to have my Time Machine underneath for convenience
The fan is nice when I need it, glad I can switch it off
Cons: The USB ports are very unreliable. I have tried a lot of cables in they all work loose after a while. This should not happen.
I use a MacBook Air as my every day computer and this stand is great. It fits the size of the computer and I like that I can adjust the height and keep things like my backup drive underneath. The USB ports are a nice idea, poorly executed. In this day and age it's hard to imagine how they can mess this up but my guess is they use very cheap parts to keep the cost down.
