Easy to use coupler style keystones allow you to use RJ45 terminated cables in the front and the back eliminating the need to splice wires while standing behind a rack. You can use pre-terminated fix length cables as well, eliminating the need for crimping. Fits all standard keystone wall plates and panels.

    Cat6 Inline Coupler Keystone Jack
Great couplers, snap in easy, stay firmly in place. I would like it if Monoprice had a shielded option for the exact same model type, but they don't.

PROS: Easy to use, snaps in place tightly.

CONS: No shielded options from Monoprice.

    Easy Peasy
I bought these so that I could run a cable from upstairs to downstairs without having to use a crimper. These are awesome and work as expected.

I just wish these came in different colors (blue, yellow, red, etc).

PROS: Plug and play. No tools required.

    CONS: None at all.

2 of 3 were good after a year
Of the three I ordered a year ago, one failed. It would only connect at 100M (not gigbit). What a pain troubleshooting and isolating cables and switches when it was just this little thing.

    PROS: Cheap.

    CONS: Cheap.

I got 2, one worked fine but one only worked with some computers and not others. I ordered another 1 and it seems to work fine.

PROS: These are great when they work

CONS: 1 worked, one didn't. Ordered a 3rd and it worked.

    Most of them worked
    Not worth the trouble

    PROS: Convenient

CONS: 2/3 of them worked great the other 1/3 have open conductors and shorted pairs.

The worst Item I have ever bought from Monoprice.
I ordered 14 of these for a home networking project. As a result I spent a solid week diagnosing wires with a wire tester, wondering if I bought bad cable, before finally isolating the issue to /8/ of the 14 keystone couplers I bought. Six are currently still in service, but when I get around to it, I am removing every single one and tossing them out.

ANY touch or manipulation of a ethernet cable plugged into one of these, on either side, can cause a temporary disconnect at best, to complete failure of the keystone at worst. This makes diagnosis very frustrating they can literally work fine while you are testing them in one position, then stop working when you plug the tested connection into the device you want to service. Then you start all over again and tear your hair out.

Due to my experience with this product I am never going to buy a keystone product from Monoprice again. Cables, certainly. Other products? YES! Keystones? NO. Not worth the loss of time over such a cheap part. Hopefully buying something twice or thrice as expensive from a competitor is the way to go.

PROS: Look nice when fitted into a face plate. The black colour lets me easily tell them apart from telephone jacks or cat 5 jacks.

    CONS: Unreliable.
    Easy to break.
    Wastes time.

    Bad quality.. look for alternatives
Buyer beware, these things are flimsy. You get what you pay for.

PROS: Well, it worked until I decided to relocate the router. Then lost connection.

CONS: Isolated the connection issue to this coupler. When I took the wall plate off and tried to disconnect one of the cables, the thing broke apart in my hand with very little pressure. One of the internal leads broke off as well.

    Total Garbage
After connection issues out of the blue I'm ripping out this MonoPrice garbage and installing another brand.

Such a seemingly simple part but truly a piece of junk product this time from MonoPrice.

Avoid these couplers at all cost.

Not worth the hassle to save a couple bucks.

PROS: Worked ok for a few months.

CONS: Started having all sorts of connection issues randomly on 2 of the 4 I have installed.
