Nice Surface Mount Box

Pros: Easy to install, has an option to screw in the wall and screws included, with cable tie and it comes with double sided adhesive pad. This surface mount seems to work perfectly with Keystones jacks only but surprisingly it works with Leviton jacks too. A little extra push but it did work.

Cons: Once you close the cover its very hard to re-open. If you use the adhesive pads chances are you will removed it.
My suggestion is to use both screws and sure enough it will slow down your work. To compensate the work, use a power screw driver, with option that can be bend an angle for tight corners.

I like the surface mount color, size, installation kit, and functions.

Pros: Inexpensive
Perfect fit

These work great for Cat5/Cat6. The keystone snaps into a plate that slides into the surface mount. The cover snaps onto the base. You can mount with the double stick tape or the screws.

Simply perfect

Pros: Inexpensive and easy to install.

Cons: None that I could see.

These little boxes were awesome. I ran Cat6 all through my house and needed disconnects in the attic. My intent was to have all the solid wiring in and terminated at both the patch panel and all of the drops.
My problem was that I wanted to add several IP camera with the option of just throwing a jumper cable to connect it to the system.
These boxes fit the bill pefectly. The came with 2 screws to mount the base onto the joists and the keystone jacks fit perfectly.

Pros: Compact size with room inside to work comfortably.
No need to snap keystones in and out. Simply slid in, then snap the cover on.

Cons: No instructions on how/where to put the zip ties.

For those trying to figure it out, the zip ties go through the vertical slots on the bottom wire holders (near the exit) to hold the wires in place as strain relief.

Pros: Cheap
Looks nice enough

Cons: A tiny bit fragile - plastic is thin

9 stars of 10 for the reasons above - definitely does the job, just a bit fragile
