2-Gang Wall Plate for Keystone, 12 Hole - White

Wall plate for use in conjunction with gang box and keystones. Use appropriate keystones to create a nicely finished, professionally installed look for Ethernet networks or Home Theater interconnects. Eliminate that cluster of wires and hide them behind a wall.
    * Some keystone ports will not fit next to each other when using modular RCA flush type keystones, RJ12 and RJ45 keystone inserts.

*Monoprice continually strives to improve its product line to bring our customers the best products available. Therefore, changes may be made to listed specifications without prior notice. Item received may not match photo or specs shown.

The color indicated can vary in tone and/or hue between production runs and manufacturing facilities.  The color of this item may not be an exact match to any other product, even if they are indicated as being the same color, whether sold by Monoprice or any other vendor.  Individual pieces may also vary very slightly in color from each other.

Pros: Cheap: I did not feel bad throwing $.82 in the trash!

Cons: You cannot use the adjacent close-proximity keystone spaces with most keystones.

To my surprise, most of the keystones that I purchased for a home audio project fit side-by-side. I have tried all of the following from Monoprice: HDMI, Toslink, and RJ45. It looks like USB and the cableTV jack would work since the ears are very shallow (see below).

Basically if the keystone that you intend to use has ears on the sides that stick out beyond the main body of the keystone, you need to buy another plate from another vendor with more horizontal spacing.

It is a shame that a rating of 0 is not an option.

Pros: Plenty of keystone openings if you have to run a lot of wires. The fit and finish on these plates is excellent everything fits like it should.

Cons: came with the wrong screws to mount the plate to a low voltage bracket.

the screws are supposed to be 6/32 machine screws what i got with it was course like wood screws and they werent threaded all the way.

Pros: Durable. Withstood me going ape and ripping the plugs back out after trying to force them in.

    Cons: Too narrow.

If you plan on putting 12 RJ45's in one box...do not use this product, there are better products that do not use the Decora format (none at Monoprice as of this writing, but search the web and you will find them). The problem is that the two sides separately are too narrow for the jacks to fit side by side and top to bottom. This isn't a ding on Monoprice, it is just the narrowness of the Decora style mount that messes you up. All brands with Decora are too narrow. I have yet to find a RJ45 Keystone that is narrow enough for this to work.

    Pros: Price

Cons: I read in the reviews a response by the Monoprice Administrator that you can use all 12 holes of this plate if you use the Keystone RJ45 couplers supplied by Monoprice. I ordered the Keystone RJ45 couplers along with the 12 hole plate but was still not able to use all 12 holes, the maximum you can use is 8 when using all Keystone RJ45 couplers.
Quote by Administrator - "For this wall plate, I recommend trying our coupler type keystones instead as they are a bit slimmer than our punch down keystones and fit better side-by-side. PID 7303 for example:"
They fit side by side but not top to bottom.

    Hi Brian,

I am truly sorry to hear that the coupler keystones did not fit top-to-bottom. If I may ask, can you send me pictures of the fit? Also, I can assist you in setting up an RMA to refund all 10 of 7302 purchased and PID 6837, if you would like. We will cover return shipping in this case. Please let me know if you wish to proceed and thank you in advance!

Terrible design for a large plate

Pros: The separate plate and cover design is nice.
    Quality was OK.
    Looks nice.
Works for COAX, RCA, banana jacks.

    Cons: Completely non-functional
WILL NOT allow you to put jacks on top or beside each other

By far the worst design I've ever used for a large plate. No one would buy a 12-jack plate unless they had a lot of jacks to install. The description says some larger jacks MAY not fit next to each other. I purchased Monoprice Cat6, RJ11, and coax jacks to install. The only ones that fit either beside or on top of one another are the coax. The network and phone jacks don't fit one on top of the other, or beside one another. That means in each 6-jack half of the plate you can only fit a total of 3 jacks. For a 12 jack plate, you get 6 jacks and 6 empty holes. That's a ridiculous design for something that should fit 12. If they did away with the inner piece and just used a blank with 12 holes, all 12 jacks would fit.
