2-Gang Wall Plate for Keystone, 8 Hole - Ivory

Wall plate for use in conjunction with gang box and keystones. Use appropriate keystones to create a nicely finished, professionally installed look for Ethernet networks or Home Theater interconnects. Eliminate that cluster of wires and hide them behind a wall.
* Some keystone ports will not fit next to each other when using modular RCA flush type keystones, RJ12 and RJ45 keystone inserts.

Read the reviews first if you're gonna use these for ethernet..

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Even the slim cat5 jacks won't fit side by side in these.

These are ok as long as you're not using rj11 or rj45 jacks. I should have read reviews first. I just made the assumption that slim jacks would fit. My fault..

Dear Monoprice.. I like doing business with you guys.. Please start selling high port count cover plates that allow me to use your slim jacks in them and I'll buy more stuff..

Pros: Can be used with HV/LV double gang outlet if you want just the insert

Cons: The 4 ports are too close together I was unable to use telephone, cable, not the monoprice tooless network keystones with this jack.

Hello Brett,

Sorry about the trouble with the keystone plates not supporting certain keystones side by side. If you like and this just isn't going to work out for you I can issue an RMA for a return, I would just need an order number to get the process started. Again my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

This wall plate does not work with the Keystone jacks (cat5e or cat6) that monoprice sells. The keystone jacks are a little bit too wide and they will not snap into this wall plate.

Hello There,

Thank you for your review and my apologies for the issues you have experienced with PID 6836. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that is correct. Under the product's description it states: *"Some keystone ports will not fit next to each other when using modular RCA flush type keystones, RJ12 and RJ45 keystone inserts.". The ones that don't have this issue are our keystone plates with 4 holes or less such as PID 6728 (

Now if you'd like, I can help setup an RMA for returning this product. If you would like me to proceed with the RMA, all I would need is the order # this item is under. Sorry again for the trouble and thanks in advance!

Not Quite Ivory

Pros: Well made. Inserts fit. Easy Installation.

Cons: Color.

This item is not really ivory. It is off white at best. It really stands out with ivory inserts or when next to other ivory wall plates.

Pros: Inexpensive and nice looking.

Cons: The price is great but there are three big problems
1) The outlet frame backing is cheap plastic and will break easily under normal force of putting the socket together.
2) The keystone plug cutouts are too close together and if you have an insert that extends beyond the hole cutout the adjacent plug will be restricted from being inserted. Many inserts fall into this bracket so I had to grind the plastic insert down on one side in order to make this outlet assembly work.
3) The screws for the wall plate are rough tread screws and standard is fine thread which causes two problems. A) You mess up the screw hole for replacement to a standard wall plate. B) The rough tread strip out much easier in a plastic structure.

Because of these issues and compatibility problems I would not choose this product in the future.
