Keystone Jack Panel, 48 ports
This keystone panel fits into a standard 19" wide equipment rack and measures 2U tall (3.5"). It accommodates up to 48 individual keystones, allowing you to build a custom patch panel with network, audio, and/or video connections. The panel is constructed of black painted steel. Each port is individually numbered.
2U, 19" X 3.5"
Fit great in a wall mount rack
CONS: Jacks do not sit flush in the panel like some other reviewers pointed out. It is purely aesthetic and for me did not matter since it was going in a wiring closet anyway and I was the only one that was going to see it. However, if you have it on display or really want a clean look, this might not be for you.
PROS: Well made
simple to use
PROS: Quality as expected.
CONS: None. Suggestion: It includes screws but no rack clips for it. It'll be nice if it does... :)
PROS: Lightweight, holds larger keystones even right next to each other. Lots of spacing so things don't get cramped.
CONS: No depth, so flush-fit keystones stick out.
PROS: Cheap. Simple. Well-made. No problems with fatter or wider style RJ-45's.
CONS: None for me. I have not experienced this problem of "loose fitting jacks" like the other reviewers.
This is my only compliant.
PROS: Locally, comparable plates are 40 bucks!!!! This is a smoking deal
CONS: PID 7302 must be installed upside down on the bottom row.
PROS: Easy installation, perfect for cables that already have ends on them.
CONS: The keystone jacks seem like they are a little bit loose.
PROS: it will hold a lot of keystone in 2 rack space
CONS: this panel is a poor quality. the keystone insert sticks out half an inch in front of the place. it does not give a flush finish
If you don't plan on using very wide jacks or hanging your patch panel off the edge of the rack, there's no reason to use this product over the 1U-24p version (PID 7260). That one has a more secure mounting setup on the back and looks better from the front because the jacks are flush.
You can't even install Cat5/6 jacks on the bottom row because they didn't design in enough space for the dust covers to fit. Severely disappointed with the build quality. The numbering is acceptable, but leaves no room above/below to place a small label like most patch panels are designed for.
Installed them, then removed them and replaced with the 1U version when I saw how much better that looked. Would return them, but the cost of return shipping is more than I paid for them.
PROS: Inexpensive. Includes screws.
CONS: Keystones extend past the face. Doesn't hold keystones firmly. Monoprice Cat5/6 Type 110 jacks don't fit on the bottom row with dust covers installed (PID 5371/5379).
Thank you for your feedback and glad the panels worked out for you for the most part aside from the 2u options. If you would like to end up returning the ones that aren't going to work for you I can issue an RMA for a return, I would just need an order number to get the process started. Again my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
CONS: Keystones stick way out in front, no labeling space, lower row does not have space for Cat6 dust covers.
