    patch panel issues are fixed
issues have been resolved.. works like it should

PROS: the issues I have read on this panel are no longer an issue. I've bought several of these for jobs in 2013 and zero have had an issue

    CONS: none, nadda, zero

    Wrong labeling
My initial attempt to setup a single run of cabling from this patch panel failed completely. My test equipment showed that none of the wired pairs were connected properly. After tracing and retesting all components I came to the conclusion that the label on the back was completely out to lunch. I ignored the labels, and wired it using the result of a continuity test to finally get successful tests and functional connections. I wonder if it passes the full specs of category 5 enhanced if the simplest feature of correct labelling is so wrong?

After contacting tech support I found out that I was correct. They sent along a photo of the correct wiring pattern that confirmed my own findings. The label on the back and the paint on the actual punchdown blocks were wrong. I suggest you rip off the label and scrape off the paint for your own sanity. Maybe correction fluid and a set of crayons to fix the labels for the artsy type.

Hopefully Monoprice can revise the listing with a picture of the correct wiring and add a knowledge base entry detailing the differences between reality and the fiction that is the label. Monoprice, please add the info to your listings with pictures to support users who decide to purchase despite the problem. Then get your supplier to print new stickers for the back.

Reviews for the 24port version of this 45 degree panel product indicate the same problems and users have given the correct pin placements.

If you buy this, contact tech support and ask for the picture they sent to me in case 26544

    PROS: Inexpensive

CONS: Wiring pattern labels are wrong
