Pros: uh.. they are a great price and it ends there. They should have the word SLIM removed and item be put on clearance!

Cons: This item along with items 10040, 10041, 10042, 10043, 10044, 10045, 10046 and 10047 are NOT SLIM and will not fit SIDE by SIDE as advertised. These items are virtually and visually identical in width to their other Cat5 Keystones. My research today shows, Monoprice was notified and knew of this issue as early as 1/30/13 (see review item 10041) and acknowledged by representative John Lingo. This was almost 2 years ago! It was identified and acknowledged again by John Lingo on item 10042 review dated 5/6/14. What up Monoprice?

Hello Andy,

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with these keystones. The “Slim” description for these keystones refers to the difference in width when compared to our regular Cat5e punch down keystones such as PID 5377. If I may ask, did you use one of our wall plates with these keystones? If so, what is the PID of the wall plate? I should mention that these keystones will not fit side-by-side in our wall plates that have 6 or more holes due to the limited spacing between each however they will fit with wall plates that have 4 or fewer holes. Please let me know so I can pass this info along to our product team. I will also put in a suggestion to have the descriptions revised. Apologies again for any inconvenience and hope this helps!

Pros: a good keystone, wire slip in easily for the punch down, cover has arch at back to allow for wire movement

Cons: will not stack side by side in an keystone plate insert ( like a Leviton 302-6D-W or equal ), no zip tie provision like some cat6 jacks have at rear

This like others like it ( color and the same dimensions.. PID 10044 - Orange, 10045- Red, 10046 - White ... all 100XX series) are excellent value for the money. I have installed these in my home network and so for all ring out, all give me Gb speed. They also stack vertically in keystone port plates, but not horizontally, so plan carefully with these with multi ports insert keystone plates ( 4 or more ports per plate ei: Leviton 302-6D-W ), I have mixed mine with RCA or F type or HDMI keystones to fill out the ports for my home theater set up. The really small ( and pricey ) Leviton Cat5E and Cat6 plates will stack side by side in inserts keystone plates. I wish Monoprice had a version like those as it says slim and I like the colors to easily identify my ports
