Pros: Easy to read label for both 568A or B termination

    Cons: None

I ordered 180 of these to install in a new building. I used up to 4 in some plates and space between the keystone's wasn't an issue. They were a great choice and will definitely purchase again!!!

Doesn't fit in a keystone jack panel

    • John,

    Pros: None

Cons: Worthless. Doesn't fit in Monoprice's keystone jack panel (PID 7260).

Won't be ordering these again or likely doing business with Monoprice after their terrible customer service in handling this matter. In the description is specifically states it will fit in a patch panel. It doesn't.

    Hello John,

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 10042. I will submit a complaint on this keystone so our product team can look into revising the description or making the product better. This keystone is too wide to fit side-by-side in any of our keystone panels or wall plates with 6 or more holes due to the limited spacing between each hole. For PID 7260, I instead recommend using our coupler type keystones.

Please see PID 7302 for white:

    or PID 7285 for black:

Just in case, we also have PID 7255 which is a 24 port Cat5e patch panel:

My apologies again for any inconvenience this may have caused. I hope this helps!

    Pros: Quality plastic and construction

Cons: No cons really, may see a lower or free shipping cost for quantity purchases

I found these CAT5 ports being high quality for a great price.

DO NOT order as these are NOT SLIM

    • Andy,

Pros: uh.. they are cat5e and it ends there. They should have the word SLIM removed and be put on clearance!

Cons: This item along with items 10040, 10041, 10042, 10043, 10044, 10045, 10046 and 10047 are NOT SLIM and will not fit SIDE by SIDE as advertised. These items are virtually and visually identical in width to their other Cat5 Keystones. My research today shows, Monoprice was notified and knew of this issue as early as 1/30/13 (see review item 10041) and acknowledged by representative John Lingo. This was almost 2 years ago! It was identified and acknowledged again by John Lingo on item 10042 review dated 5/6/14. What up Monoprice?

    Hello Andy,

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with these keystones. The “Slim” description for these keystones refers to the difference in width when compared to our regular Cat5e punch down keystones such as PID 5371. If I may ask, did you use one of our wall plates with these keystones? If so, what is the PID of the wall plate? I should mention that these keystones will not fit side-by-side in our wall plates that have 6 or more holes due to the limited spacing between each however they will fit with wall plates that have 4 or fewer holes. Please let me know so I can pass this info along to our product team. I will also put in a suggestion to have the descriptions revised. Apologies again for any inconvenience and hope this helps!

    Not for 24-port panel....

Pros: Cost is good, easy to work with

Cons: If you are putting these in a 1-gang patch panel, stick to the 16-port or less. You can mostly get 2 side-by-side...mostly...

    Really shouldn't advertise as SLIM....
