    Nearly impossible to terminate

    Pros: Pretty

Cons: Is only good for a desk ornament

This is assembled like a normal cat5e cable (not cat6 with a separate plastic insert) which is fine, except that the hole to insert the cables is so impossibly small that its nearly impossible to get the cables in. Went through many many attempts and failed to even get one in (and yes, i have had much success with other MonoPrice connectors). Real bummer here

Hard to use and get working. Took 5 or 6 tries.

    Pros: Cheap

Cons: Guiding wires in order challenging.

As a first time Cat6 cable maker, it took several frustrating tries and a voltmeter/multitester to get one working and I learned a few things. Thought about returning, but they didn't cost much to justify.
1.) Strip and make sure you leave extra length.
    2) Cut the plastic spleen in the center as low as possible. Then order and flatten all wires all the way from the unstripped portion to the tips. Use a pencil to roll and flatten.
3.) Insert slowly and keep look through unshielded bottom to make sure no positions change.
4.) Push firmly just until wire reach end and no more. Confirm.
5.) Now, pull all wires back out and cut them all flush.
6.) Repeat step 3, but then crimp.

Cons: Extremely difficult to line up wires.

I burned over 30 just trying to make two bloody cables.

Wish I'd read these reviews before purchasing!!!!!

    Pros: Looks cool

Cons: I can crimp a cat 5 cable in about 20 seconds. These take about 5 minutes each. Very difficult to get the wires into the correct position.

Not crazy about these and don't understand why it is so hard to feed the wires into the correct position.

    Does not lock

Pros: They look nice, crimped without issue

Cons: They will not lock in anything, including monoprice's own RJ45 female keystones, multiple NIC's, and multiple switches.

Unfortunately these are useless, a gentle breeze/kitten sneeze/car passing in a nearby county will leave you with cables laying on the floor instead of their port. This is my first and only negative review on a monoprice product, and I have been a loyal customer for years, this one is just a disappointment.
