Easy to use, toolless (no soldering or screwdriver req.) modular CAT 6 Keystone jack. RJ45 female connector. To be used with keystone wall plate or panel. Wiring diagram on clip.
This product is intended for use with 23~24 AWG Solid Ethernet cable. It will not work well with stranded Ethernet cable. If you're using stranded Ethernet cable, please use a punch-down style keystone jack.

Note that the width of the RJ45 keystones is such that two cannot be used side-by-side in the same wall-plate.

Comes with lever for ease of installation and retaining clip for secure connection.

    Cat6 RJ-45 Toolless Keystone
This is well engineered product. It's sturdy, and fairly easy to install. Printed instructions could be little bit better than they are. It took me about 10+ minutes to prepare the cable and finish the connector. Wrestling with wires to make them go in their places was easy enough when you understand what wire should go where. Make sure when closing the final latch to use some sturdy surface and something other than your bare hand. I would give 10 out of 10 if the printed instructions were better.

PROS: Very well thought product. Good quality.

CONS: The assembly can be confusing if you are beginner in DIY network cabling projects.

Since this is supposed to be tooless, it took quite some time to get the first one done. Later I decided to use a punch down tool and this helped speed up things considerably.

If you are planning to buy this as a tool-less jack this is not the one. However you could get a punch down tool and use it. I installed over 20 of them and none of them had any issue.

    I actually liked these
They're not flimsy (I've had lesser jacks break), and they're nice in how you set the wires into place before clamping down (no strain on the wires first to be punched down). I can't vouch for the signal quality (I don't have a fluke), but I had no trouble with monoprice cat6 cable.

bit of a trick the first few times you use them
Man you just have to love the whole keystone system. SO nice to get exactly what connectors you want into a wall place or surface mount unit. No jerry-rigging or mcguivering, you get the right jacks, with whatever colors you want, in each place.

Doing the final 'crimp' on this almost needs a pliers to get a good squeeze on things

PROS: don't need a special crimper etc. THe color coded positions help a lot with getting the right wires in the right positions, keystone stuff is just the cats meow for putting precisely what you want, even color coded, into a jack or wallplate

CONS: a bit tricky to get everything aligned and in place, might want a pliers to help you press it all down

    cat 6 jacks
I give these jacks an 8 because on my first termination it only "marginally" passed the tester's cat 6 specification. If you've got a high quality cat 6 jack on the other end, you shouldn't have a problem passing cat 6 specs, but I wouldn't use this jack on both ends if I really needed to pass demanding NEXT parameters.

Having said all of that, cat 6 seems to be a meaningless standard anyway. What can you run on cat 6 that you can't run on cat 5e? For the money, it's a well-built jack, but I would be very careful for professional/commercial use.

Loved these toolless keystones. For your average dude who doesn't have access to the tool needed for regular keystones, for example just passing a few cables around the house, then these are awesome. The only improvement would be to the instruction manual to explain how to open them up. They all ship closed and the instructions don't mention how to open it! There isn't much to it once you know... you have to just pull apart the 'U' on the side where the cables connect and it'll separate.
