    Too wide

These are very wide (15/16") and therefore won't fit in some applications. I found they fit fine in a single or double wall plate, but won't fit in surface mount boxes or wall plates where the jacks are close together. It's surprising how difficult it is to find quality RJ11 keystones while RJ45 keystones are so readily available.

    Total Garbage

    Pros: None

Cons: They were too wide, they were of very inferior quality, they would not hold and/or strip the wires when we punched each one. Overall, this was a disaster!!!!!

These are of such inferior quality that they are not usable under any circumstances.
Plus, we ordered the ivory units, since we had been told the white units had mislabeled wiring diagrams on them.
It's true that the ivory had the correct wiring diagram, it's just too bad they would not hold-in-place the wires.

We are using Cat 5e solid wire that is listed as 24 gauge. We did not have any issues with your RJ-45 connectors using this wire. We also did not have any other issues with the RJ-11 connectors we had to buy from Home Depot, nor the stock of old connectors we had in our personal supplies.

The issue was that the "tongues" that hold each wire within the jack were too far apart, and too malleable. When you tried to punch-down a wire, it just pushed them apart, rather than strip the wire (and hold it in place).

Bottom line is, you need to start getting your RJ-12 (or RJ-11) keystone jacks from a new supplier. Even if they are a few pennies more, people will still buy them. If not, you run the risk of people dropping Monoprice all-togehter.

    I hope this helps,

Pros: Does the job. I have a gigabit connection running though these jacks. Wires go in easy and make contact well.

Cons: Dont stay in modified wall plates well. Just buy new outlet covers.

Great product amazing price and good quality.
