Cat5E RJ-45 Toolless Keystone Jack in Blue

Easy to use, toolless (no soldering or screwdriver req.) modular CAT 5e Keystone jack. RJ45 female connector. To be used with keystone wall plate or panel. Wiring diagram on clip.

This product is intended for use with 23~24 AWG Solid Ethernet cable. It will not work well with stranded Ethernet cable. If you're using stranded Ethernet cable, please use a punch-down style keystone jack.

Note that the width of the RJ45 keystones is such that two cannot be used side-by-side in the same wall-plate.

Comes with lever for ease of installation and retaining clip for secure connection.

    Worked Fine
They didn't form a good connection the first time that I snapped them closed, so I had to open them just slightly and use a box cutter blade to push the wires down more firmly between each of the metal channels. Worked fine after that.

    This jack is frustrating.
This style is very difficult to work with. Since there are no instructions, it took a while to figure out the proper installation method. Even so, I had to open and close it a couple of times to get the wire to strip properly and make contact. Very frustrating becuase opening it meant I had to re-align each wire before closing it.

Recommend going with Monoprice's Punch down Network keystone jack (not tool-less). It allows you to focus on one wire at a time.

    Great Product!!! Easy To Use!!!
This is a great product and very easy to use. Once you understand the wiring diagram you can set them up in no time. I used 12 of them to wire my home. I used 6 different colors so I know where each jack goes. The first one took about 10 minutes to set up. Once I knew what I was doing it took about 5 minutes per jack. A small straight slot screwdriver will make it easier to set the wires in place. Also, a pair of wire cutters to trim the excess wire. You wont be disappointed.

    Easy as Pie
I needed to install 4 jacks to complete my in-home wiring and was considering getting regular jacks and a crimping tool. That option would have cost more since the crimping tool is expensive (at least the good ones are).

I was able to complete my setup (including wall plates) in under an hour. If you know what you're doing, it can be done much faster.

    Nice ports you got there
These are really nice, though they are a little difficult to work with using my giant hands. But with a little patience, they went in easy-peasy.

    They work but ...
I will continue to buy them until I have one fail me or one goes bad. So far I am using them for making custom jumpers to split CAT5 pairs to provide two connections across one connection.

    PROS: Cheap in cost

CONS: They feel very cheaply made. Not that I don't trust that they will last but...

    not impressed
It does work and does test out when connected but it was very hard to keep it in place while putting the wires in the areas to punch them down with.

PROS: You don't need a punch down tool

CONS: you really are better off with a punch down tool, I found this extremely complicated to try to keep all 8 wires in place before i squeezed down. It might be me but i think i prefer the punch down version. Matter of fact that is what i reordered was the punch down versions

    Excellent value
These jacks are excellent! They dont snap in quite as tight as Id like into some keystone wall plates, but I havent had any fall out yet. They are very quick and easy to wire, assuming you have a knife or wire strippers, and perhaps a small flat-blade screw driver on hand.

    Great product
These jacks were easy to install and worked perfectly. I will continue to use them.

    Great Product
Fits snugly into the wall plates from Monoprice. Says tool-less but after getting the wires into the slots you need to trim the excess with something. Also, closing the lid so it locks down is much easier with pliers than with your hands. Great product! I ordered 8 and all 8 worked like a charm. Shipping was fast and price is unbeatable! Thanks Monoprice!
