Cat5E RJ-45 Toolless Keystone Jack in Blue

Easy to use, toolless (no soldering or screwdriver req.) modular CAT 5e Keystone jack. RJ45 female connector. To be used with keystone wall plate or panel. Wiring diagram on clip.
This product is intended for use with 23~24 AWG Solid Ethernet cable. It will not work well with stranded Ethernet cable. If you're using stranded Ethernet cable, please use a punch-down style keystone jack.

Note that the width of the RJ45 keystones is such that two cannot be used side-by-side in the same wall-plate.

Comes with lever for ease of installation and retaining clip for secure connection.

    Followed instructions provided by Monoprice:

Using cable tester I would always have 1 or 2 open wires. Tried again being very careful with same result. I finally made them work by placing the wires into the metal strippers individually and pushing them in with a thin screwdriver. The swinging cover can then be removed as it's not needed.

These things are enough to make you want to put your fist through a wall.

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 313. If I may ask, what problems did you run into exactly when trying to use this keystone? Did you order the Cat cable from us? If so, what is the PID of the cable? If not, what type of Cat cable are you using (Cat5e or Cat6, solid or stranded, etc.)? Please let me know so we can look into this matter further. Thank you in advance!

Fits snugly into the wall plates from Monoprice. Says tool-less but after getting the wires into the slots you need to trim the excess with something. Also, closing the lid so it locks down is much easier with pliers than with your hands. Great product! I ordered 8 and all 8 worked like a charm. Shipping was fast and price is unbeatable! Thanks Monoprice!

    They work but ...

    Pros: Cheap in cost

Cons: They feel very cheaply made. Not that I don't trust that they will last but...

I will continue to buy them until I have one fail me or one goes bad. So far I am using them for making custom jumpers to split CAT5 pairs to provide two connections across one connection.

Works pretty well, installs relativly easy

Pros: Good Price, Good Quality, Relativly easy to install.

    Cons: non really product related.

I have bought just over 30 of thies, and found that there is a bit of a learning curve to using them, the plastic plate peace that pearces the cable and slides into place is a bit weak, and due to its small size can be a little tough pushing it all the way into place, I've had to re-do a few by just adjusting the cable that did not get properly secured and slidding the plate back down, (though it is pretty easy to do and I have not had to throw any away due to poor installation, there always fixable.) There a great fit and look good in the keystone wall plates.
