Cat5E RJ-45 Toolless Keystone Jack in Red

Easy to use, toolless (no soldering or screwdriver req.) modular CAT 5e Keystone jack. RJ45 female connector. To be used with keystone wall plate or panel. Wiring diagram on clip.
This product is intended for use with 23~24 AWG Solid Ethernet cable. It will not work well with stranded Ethernet cable. If you're using stranded Ethernet cable, please use a punch-down style keystone jack.

Note that the width of the RJ45 keystones is such that two cannot be used side-by-side in the same wall-plate.

Comes with lever for ease of installation and retaining clip for secure connection.

Pros: All 20 that I had purchased were flawless and of exceptional quality.

Cons: Width negates insertion into 7260 keystone panel. It would be nice if dimensions were listed for items where width might be an obvious problem with jacks and keystone panels.

I found these tool less CAT5e jacks to be very sturdy and of higher quality construction standards than several other "name brand" types I have purchased before.

Pros: Variety of colors to make keeping track of lines easier.

Cons: Connection prongs do not line up with wires.

I tried 5 of these and only one snapped a reliable connection. Went back to the old punch down type form another manufacturer. Unfortunately they do not have the different colors. Oh well that is what differnt colored sharpies are for.

Pros: Just follow the pictures printed on the part and that's it.

Cons: The cabletie used to secure the cat5 cable to the jack is not very strong. If you pull too hard the cable will break.

Very simple to use. Although they include a clip to help push the lid closed over the cable, I find that, if you're strong enough, you can just use your hands. It doesn't take that much pressure to close it if you're using typical cat5e solid core cable. As I said in the review title..... So simple a caveman can do it.
