Cat5E RJ-45 Toolless Keystone Jack in Beige

Easy to use, toolless (no soldering or screwdriver req.) modular CAT 5e Keystone jack. RJ45 female connector. To be used with keystone wall plate or panel. Wiring diagram on clip.

This product is intended for use with 23~24 AWG Solid Ethernet cable. It will not work well with stranded Ethernet cable. If you're using stranded Ethernet cable, please use a punch-down style keystone jack.

Note that the width of the RJ45 keystones is such that two cannot be used side-by-side in the same wall-plate.

Comes with lever for ease of installation and retaining clip for secure connection.

    Great Value
When using these at first they were a little difficult to get used to because I have always used punch down jacks. However, after getting used to how they work, they are amazing. For large projects that require many jacks, these are hands down the best because they save time and are of the highest quality. Highly recommended!

    It works.
Tue 3/25/2014 9:12 am. I had to repair a "pro" installation that didn't work, and I blather-on endlessly and ignorantly about it @ http://owenlabs.org/rant17.htmenet. Attaching these things to an ethernet cable is *not* easy, but the monoprice gadgets seem as easy as is likely. Monoprice has an *extremely* helpful PDF at http://www.monoprice.com/manual/How%20to%20-%20tooless%20keystone.pdf.

    PROS: It works.

    Great and Inexpensive
I’ve always used manually terminated inserts so at first I was cussing these inserts as I found them difficult to hold everything and manually terminate each wire, there just wasn’t much room. After looking at the insert and figuring out how it was supposed to be used I fell in love with these inserts as they truly are a breeze to put together.

PROS: 1) Very good conduct connections once the wire is terminated it crimps and works as it should.
    2) Easy to use once you understand how the insert is designed to work.

CONS: No cons to speak of really the only down side is the TyRaps are cheap and break easily but as long as you don’t over torque them you’ll be fine.

    Easy to Installs
Flip open, put cables in the corresponding color coded slots, snap shut, done. It's as easy as that. Only downfall was they don't have ivory colored so the beige stands out *slightly* from an ivory wall plate.

    PROS: Very easy to install!

    CONS: None

Doh! Should Have Read the Install Guide
A novice, using the tooless keystone jack for the first time, it had no directions and was not very intuitive. I fussed with it awhile until I came back here and read the installation guide. That made it a lot easier. Still had to fuss with it to seat two conducters by hand. All is well.

    A lot for your money
You get a lot for money on this one. And while they list these as beige, I would consider them ivory (which is what I really wanted).

    Some assembly required
When using these according to the illustration, it looks like they're tool-less but they're not quite. If you follow the illustration and use them the way they look like they're to be used, just put the individual wires where they go and snap the cover down, not all of the wires will make contact. Take the extra time to strip extra cover off, then use a knife-edge to manually set all the wires individually.

After that, they work just fine.

I don't recommend these at all, I bought 3 and used 2 and don't plan on using the last one. The issue is the cutters don't cut into the insulation wire at all or enough to make a connection. the first one i tried only 1 of the 8 wires had connection thinking i screwed something up i did another one and made sure all wires were in their proper spots - however this one none of the wires had a connection. skip out on these and spend the extra money for a punch down tool and the proper jacks.
