Pros: Price, Works

Cons: None.

So, I've punched down a few Cat5 jacks in the past using a non-impact tool, but I am building a new house and needed to punch down about 100 or so jacks so I decided to buy an impact tool. I threw this tool onto my order for the jacks and other misc stuff and just used it this past weekend. Like pretty everybody else says, it works fine, I used it on the low setting, but the blade did seem wear quickly and trimming became hit or miss.

Monoprice's Punch Out

Pros: - Great Price
- Solid Feel
- High power mode works excellently

Cons: - Low power mode is pretty weak
- This is really picky, but its a bit on the loud side, might be a tad bit startling to office mates if you work in a quiet office setting, or if you have that one sensitive person who jumps out of their skin when the A/C turns on.

Purchased this along with the all the other necessary Monoprice items to replace some broken RJ 45 wall jacks around the office. Worked easily enough once I put it in high powered mode (low power took 2-4 punches to achieve the same effect). Feels nice in the hand, and much more solid then I was expecting for an item priced under $20. Great job Monoprice team!

Pros: Good tool able to do solid punches

Cons: low setting could have a little more power

This punch tool works great when working on 110 type keystones. the low setting on the punch could be a little stronger as the high setting has me worried I would split the block

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: None

This was my first time trying to make a keystone jack and this tool was affordable and easy to use. The project was a success!
