Pros: 2 out of 3 ordered parts worked for the project. Unfortunately, 1 part received, was defective. See the Cons entry.
Cons: At first glance, the part looks to be quality oriented with heavy construction. Unfortunately, I ordered 3 and 1 was defective and can not be used. The female end was damaged in the manufacturing process and will not receive a male end (adapter). Made in China supported by lack of quality control prevails again. This very issue is noted as the same problem by another review written earlier. More $$'s wasted creating delay in our project...again. We placed an order for product several days earlier and also received defective product with that order as well...frustrating to say the least:(
I ordered product on 2 occasions for the same project...this being the second order. Both orders delivered defective product resulting in 'upgrading' the product from the first order in order to make the project successful. The second issue noted herein has not been addressed by phone given the first problem was painful to find resolve by phone. The lack of an effective inside sales consultative process and difficult to deal with customer service process/support team discouraged me from calling on this round of defective product as purchased. I bought/replaced the defective part as received from another supplier resulting in completion of our home media room project.
Cons: poor internal build quality, to big and heavy
bought a set of these and a set of the cheaper black plastic version 7233.
one of the gold ones was defective I could not input a male connector into the female end. I have not tried to fix it myself yet.
overall the gold one that did work was loose and a bit to large and heavy causing a poor connection.
It would have been better to be a bit smaller similar to the 7233.
I only needed one connector for my sub woofer.
But in the end I used the cheaper plastic 7233 instead as it was much lower profile and had a tighter connection.
Cons: not a solid piece and 4 out of 12 came apart in my hand when attempting to hook up.
I read the reviews on this item and saw the problem with them falling apart, but I took a chance and hoped that quality control would have fixed this by now. They haven't. The cost of shipping these back isn't worth the effort. I also ordered 7233 which are a made with a plastic housing and lower profile and these worked much better, so I suggest you get those instead.
