2.5mm Mono Plug to 3.5mm Mono Jack Adaptor - Gold Plated

Do you have a device with a 3.5mm plug that won't fit into your other device with a 2.5mm jack, such as a pair of standard headphones and a new smartphone? If so, you need this adapter from Monoprice!

This adapter has a mono 3.5mm female TS jack and a mono 2.5mm male TS plug. The connectors are gold plated to ensure a smooth, corrosion-free connection.

Note that this is a mono adapter. If you need this for a stereo audio application, such as listening to music on your smartphone with your standard headphones/earbuds, you should get the stereo version, PID 7124, instead.

Important: Although this adapter will physically connect a headset to a smartphone headset/microphone jack, this will not allow use of the microphone. This adapter has TS (Tip-Sleeve) connectors with two contact points, while a headphone/mic device requires TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) connectors with four contact points.

    Excellent Harmony IR adapters

Pros: Perfect fit - no added cable length.

    Cons: None

I needed these so I could extend the Harmony IR Blasters into another room. With this adapter, i was able to use readily-available stereo headphone extension cable, rather than seeking 2.5mm mono coax to go from 1 room to another. They work great!

Pros: It feels somewhat durable. It works.

    Cons: None

I used this adapter to convert the IR blaster ports on multiple Logitech Harmony remotes to something a little more standard. Most IR blasters and kits are all 3.5mm and Logitech decided to make their jacks 2.5mm. This adapter worked perfectly in every instance it was very affordable.

Works but needs to be better

Pros: I like the casing is plastic so that its electrically safe

Cons: Its female connector doesn't grips the external male connector and so with just a little force the external pin comes out easily and so has a chance of accidently getting removed.

    Does its job.
