Pros: VERY USEFUL SPLITTER CONFIGURATION. NO ONE ELSE MAKES A STEREO 1/4" MALE SPLIT TO 2 MONO 1/4' female splitter all in one adapter.

Cons: THE 2 FEMALE INPUTS ARE MUCH TOO FLIMSY AND UNRELIABLE TO USE IN ANY IMPORTANT WAY . BOTH THE METAL INPUTS AND PLASTIC HOUSING ARE MUCH TO INFERIOR FOR A SOLID RELIABLE CONNECTION.

MAKE A GOOD HIGH QUALITY VERSION OF THIS SPECIFIC SPLITTER/ADAPTER OUT OF HEAVY GAUGE METAL AND HEAVY PLASTIC/NYLON OR METAL HOUSING AND I WILL PAY YOU 5 TIMES AS MUCH AS YOU CURRENTLY CHARGED ME.

    Hello,

Glad to hear you were somewhat pleased with the quality of the adapter, however I will forward your suggestions onto our Product Management Team to review and take into consideration on improving the item. If you like and you no longer have a real use for the item I can issue an RMA for a return credit, I would just need an order to get the process started.

    Thank you

    Sincerely

I am not pleased with the quality but the configuration is what I was looking for. 40 years ago I could buy this design in the U.S.A. all metal heavy duty professional connector but they stopped MFG. them for some reason and only offer a premium high quality female 1/4' adapter/splitter configuration with a cable connecting the 2 female 1/4' inputs. My reason for giving you this feedback is to request you manufacture a professional heavy gauge version of your adapter /splitter with solid and tight reliable connections especially inside the female 1/4" ts ring/sleeve split inputs. I am not complaining about the cost that is why I said I would pay 5 times the price for heavy duty premium professional heavy gauge thicker metal tighter connections. I believe there is a market for a premium connector of this configuration since no American MFR. currently offers this specific adapter/splitter in one solid piece with no cable involved. J.

    Pros: shipped fast and cheap

    Cons: Doesn't work?

This is the second attempt to take a 1/4" female stereo connection split out to 1/4" left and right female jacks. I bought the other stereo to stereo adapter very similar to this and that was the wrong one apparently as I was only get one channel....so I figured this had to be it....nope. Now each side is BOTH channels. I'm confused on how I take a 1/4" female stereo output and go 2 1/4" female left/right channels. It shouldnt be this hard....

    Hello debennett,

Thank you for your review. Can you please describe the setup you are exactly trying to do? That way I can see if we have an item for you that works accordingly. Please let me know, thank you!

I am trying to go from a computer soundcard output in 1/8 stereo to left/right 1/4" inputs for studio monitors. In an attempt to use what already works I have this going from PC to speakers:

1/8" stereo male cable with 1/8" stereo to 1/4" stereo male adapter to 1/4" female/female stereo to the above-mentioned/reviewed adapter to 1/4" mono cables to each speaker. Getting a mix of both channels. Frustrating.....

    Hello,

Thank you for your response, unfortunately judging by your setup, it we do not have the item that you are looking for. You may need a dedicated amplifier or receiver at this point to get it to work the way you want. If you haven't done so I can assist you with a return, I would just require your order# to set it up. Please let me know, thank you!

Dedicated amp? For what?! I'm literally trying to take 1/8" stereo jack to 2 1/4" mono jacks....one left and one right.

The amps are built into the speakers.

    This:
    http://www.zzounds.com/itemHOSYPP117

is what I need. I have the 1/8" stereo converted to 1/4" stereo female...and I have long mono 1/4" cables for each speaker. I just need the part between them....a return of this wouldn't be worth the hassle.

    Hello,

Thank you for your response, I do understand what you mean, but specifically, while this is referred to as a speaker, it replicated both channels on each output. It will not isolate it to a left and right channel. Unless your studio speaker is capable of having a left and right. If it merely has one input then it will have both channels on both speakers. Nonetheless, I do understand what you are looking for and unfortunately we do not have anything that would do what you require right now. I will forward it to our product development team accordingly so they can see if they will carry it in the future. Thank you for your understanding and patience in the matter, your review process is finished.

I really don't think you understand in the least. Two speakers have instrument xBle inputs. I want one to be left and one to be right. The source is a PC eighth inch stereo jack. Not only is it possible, it should be simple.

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply, upon looking at the link you gave me, it seemed to be a broken link. I then searched for a splitter on the website and the only item is this that came.

    http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSYRA154

If you are looking for a cable instead of an adapter we may have that instead. On this link,

    http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=666&seq=1&format=2

If that is what you were looking for instead of an actual adapter then I am truly sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought you were looking for an adapter solution at this time. But this cable should do the trick instead just not in adapter form. Let me know if this is what you wanted. Thanks!
