I highly recommend Monoprice for all your technical products. For the price of this part with this supplier in comparison to another retailer (Best Buy) was dollars more. Price was exceptionally more reasonable

    Disappointment
I had to search for an adapter for my new NAD D3020 amp, as NAD for some insane reason decided to supply the amp with a subwoofer out that required a 3.5 mm mono plug. Since no subwoofer cables known to man come with such a plug, and the amp did not ship with this adapter, I bought this to attach my new, standard sub cable to the amp. It fit the cable and plugged into the amp appropriately, and it was functional initially. However, I soon found that whenever I slightly shifted the table the amp was on, moved the amp itself, or even touched the subwoofer cable, I got a loud and extended bass note playing through my sub. After spending 45 minutes troubleshooting and eliminating interference from speaker wire, electrical outlets, extension cords, and even grounding my premium sub cable, it finally came down to the connection at the amp. If I held the connection a certain way, there was no issue. But if I let go of the cable, the loud bass note would return. I got so frustrated with all of this. But just before I exchanged the amp for a (presumed) faulty sub connection port, I tried my luck at buying a new 3.5 mm mono to female RCA adapter from Radio Shack. Their version of this adapter was smaller and a snugger fit to my brand new sub cable, and as soon as I connected the new adapter to the back of the NAD amp, I had absolutely no further issues. After spending $1200 on a new 2.1 channel hi fi system and meticulously setting it up, wouldn't you know it was the $1 adapter that caused the entire problem. So disappointing. I would not recommend this to anyone. Supreme fail.

PROS: It was exactlly the right adapter for my needs...

CONS: But it failed miserably at its one and only function. Unacceptable!
