Recessed Pro Power Kit w/Straight Blade Inlet White

Use this recessed pro-power kit with straight blade inlet to install power and low voltage cables behind your flat panel TV, your amplifier/home theater receiver, or other audio and video devices to your equipment room or at the location of your head end equipment.
Most local fire codes do not allow high voltage stranded power cables to be run behind a wall.  Therefore it is a violation to simply run your standard power cords through the wall.  Power cables for in-wall application should be solid core specifically designed for that purpose. Having an electrician come out and tap your electrical system to install an additional output behind your wall mounted display can be costly. This kit allows you to utilize an existing electrical outlet and bridge the power to your desired location. One plate is installed behind your equipment and the other along side an existing outlet. You connect the two plates together with some solid core power cabling you can find at your local hardware store. Then you plug your equipment into the extended outlet and use the included patch cable to connect the plate near your pre-existing outlet into the powered outlet. You can even plug in an electrical surge suppressor and/or line conditioner in between the powered outlet and the local input plate to provide cleaner, safer power to your equipment.

This kit includes two plates and one 6ft straight power extension cable.
Faceplate is 5.25" wide by 4.5" tall. Recession in the rear of the plate is 2.5" at it's longest point.

Works great for LCD TV install
I've used a few of these to install Flat panel TVs. They are perfect to use for concealing wires. You simply need to get the Romex cable to make the connection to each outlet in the wall. It basically acts as a safe extension chord from the tv to a surge protector for the other components while keeping the wires concealed. Good quality. Have recommended them to friends as well.

This is an excellent product. Just note that you should use a blue junction box with this, just so youre in code. This product will fit into 2 gang, but you really only need one junction box. The other side has fasteners that attach to the drywall.

Instructions are excellent for this product and the install took about 30min

Requires single gang junction box on power side to install, which is a good idea anyway. Single gang AV cable run hole is a bit small-ish. Quality of materials seemed really good right up until I screwed it into the wall. Managed to snap one of the anchor wings with my cordless drills clutch on the lowest possible setting. I set about replacing them with the stronger anchor wings from old construction electrical junction boxes I had leftover from a recent re-wiring of my house. Avoid this by just carefully tightening with a manual screwdriver.

    Great product
This product is excellent but didn't include the electrical wiring you need to run in your wall from outlet to outlet. I had to go to Home Depot to pick it up. But short of this, it is a GREAT product and I am a novice at home improvement projects BUT my flat screen looks pretty sharp on the wall now.

Recessed Pro Power Kit w/Straight Blade Inlet White Product Number: 4652
All " Reviewer: Master Electrician from Saint Cloud, Fl" with the 1 star review would of had to do is look at the installation instructions to see the connections are covered in romex boxes. Code compliant. Master of Nothing, Fool of himself.

Perfect kit for a nice clean installation!
Even without the romex coming with the kit to really be a COMPLETE kit, I have to give this a 10. Everything you need is in the box short of that cable behind the wall. And a quick trip to your local home improvement store takes care of that for around $1. Thanks to this kit and wall mount from monoprice, I have my TV on the wall with not one visible wire.

PROS: Recessed outlets, almost everything needed to do the job, extension cord included.

CONS: No romex cable for running behind the wall.

    It works great

    PROS: installs very easy

CONS: Top and Bottom are the same. Bottom needs to be so the wires can go up.

    Great product!
Great solid mount. Easy to install. Very, very, very sturdy with my 32" Samsung on it. Shipped from California to Ontario is less than 24 hours!

After reading so much about how great was for items, I finally placed an order. This is a great easy product. I can't even get over how fast it shipped, or how solid it is. It looks so clean with my tv mounted on my new monoprice mount as well!!

PROS: Great item. Easy installation. Everything but the romex is included in the box.

    Great Kit
This is the perfect answer for anyone installing a wall mounted display. I used this to run power and input cables to my plasma display. Worked great even with my old plaster walls. I was able to run 2 HDMI (Monoprice of course), 1 Wii component video cable (also Monoprice) and a network cable through the low voltage drop side. I had purchased some extra 2 gang low voltage recessed plates but didn't even need to use them. I felt a sense of accomplishment doing this myself with a little help from my brother and having it look professional. Not counting some painting I need to do since cutting plaster can be a pain. If I had one complaint with this piece it's that they should have the "snout" for the low voltage cables reversed on the bottom side to make it easier to get cables through it. They would just drop right through instead of having to go down then come up. I was going to flip the plate around but didn't want the romex crossing over my input cables.

    Highly recommended!

    Works great
Installed it yesterday and works perfect. You need to single gang boxes to install these also. Only complaint is for what it is, it's kinda pricey, but a lot cheaper then hiring an electrician.
