    Perfect 6 way Splitter
My first purchase with Monoprice was perfect. I will be back. The item was exactly what I needed and functions just as I hoped. The splitter is built sturdily and I haven't had and don't expect any problems with it.

    PROS: Perfect size and configuration.

    6 way aplitter
Found this 6 way splitter at Monoprice for a very good price and fast delivery. Most places don't have a 6 way splitter want to sell you an 8 way. I didn't need two extra ports hanging out there so this splitter worked just right. I have always been happy with items I have purchased from Monoprice.

PROS: Just what I needed. Good price. Quick delivery.

    CONS: None

    Missing db loss info
A 2-way splitter will loose 3.5db on each leg.
A 4-way works the same as using three 2-ways, where you would connect the two outs of the first 2-way to the inputs of the two other splitters and you end up with four outputs that are -3.5db x 2, or -7db.
To expand that to an 8-way splitter, you would add another layer of four 2-way spitters on each of the outputs to get 8 total ports at -10.5db (3..5x3). This is why splitters typically only come in 2,4,8 and 16 port configurations.

So to manufacture a 6-way one would only use two 2-ways in that final four-to-eight output layer, (instead of the four,) and that would result in four -10.5db ports and 2 -7db ports. But on this device, who's to know which is which?
I suspect the two outputs that are on the same side as the input are each -7db and the other four outputs are -10.5db.

    PROS: unique 6-port design
    price point

CONS: no labeling of the db loss of each output
