Pros: I am in agreement with the other reviewers that this works great and it is inexpensive.

Cons: Pins can bend and break easy.

I had the item loosely connected to a cable and when I tried to reconnect it I accidentally bent one of the pins. When I tried to carefully straighten the pin it broke off. I am glad I bought an extra one just to be safe. I will eventually buy a few more as backup in a future order from Monoprice though so I do not think the issue should stop you from purchasing them. I would recommend mounting them and leaving them alone and it should work out fine.
I am using them to connect my old retro computers (TRS-80 Color Computer 3 and 2) to an LED TV and LCD monitor. This is supposed to be a review for the product but I want to send out kudos to Monoprice also for having such variety of electronic items.

Works fine, but flips D shape orientation!

Pros: Does what is says, the price is great and its very compact.

Cons: The Input verses Output gets flipped over 180 degrees (D-shape portion) which spoiled my otherwise clean setup plans.

I was planning on using this with the (P/N 8730) VGA 90 Degree Coupler to get out of the side (pocket) of a Video projector and have it orient upwards. After which I was going to add a wireless VGA adapter for a conference room. Ended up with a fat ugly coil of VGA cable on top.
Ultimately the part is fine, but the description needs more clarification. Its wasn't the cost of the part that went wrong, it was the time spent finding out. (My finding the part, My purchasing person, then the fun assembly & discovery time.)
