5 PAIRS OF High-Quality Gold Plated Speaker Pin Plugs, Pin Screw Type

Pin plugs make speaker installation a breeze. They are designed for use with amplifiers or speakers fitted with either traditional binding posts or spring clip connectors. Not only is it easier to make the connection on the back of your amp, it is safer, with no chance of stray wire strands creating a short across contacts.

These high quality plugs are the closed screw type and can accept bare wire or spades. They are sized to fit speaker wire from 12 to 18 AWG. Each pair comes with one plug color coded red and the other coded black, for easy polarity identification.

The plug body is made of brass, which is then plated with gold to help prevent corrosion and ensure smooth connections.

This multi-pack includes five pairs of plugs, perfect for connecting the satellite and center channel speakers in a 5.1 channel setup.

    Features:

    • Can accept bare wire or spades
    • Can accept 12 to 18 AWG speaker wires
    • Color coded black/red rings for maintaining proper polarity
    • Secure, positive contact with binding posts and spring clips
    • Corrosion resistant, 24K gold plated brass plug
    • Each order includes FIVE pairs (10 plugs total)

The following video shows the differences between the various types of banana plugs and includes a demonstration of how to install each type.

Product is great, my amp, not so much
These connectors are great, but my amp really didn't have the room to accommodate these connectors. I kept shorting the speakers and sending the amp into protect mode. These work great on your speakers though.

    Works great
Easy to use once you learn how, and make for better and easier connections to speakers than bare wires.

    Speaker Pin Plugs
Use these with my surround sound system and they are fantastic. I also have an old portable cd music system that connects to the speakers with spring clips. I was having problems with the left speaker cutting out all the time, but since using these instead of the bare wires it works perfectly again.

PROS: Good quality and good price.

    CONS: None

Excellent Product at the Right Price
These are definitely high quality. They're also easy to put together (once you know how). They make moving speakers a snap and they stay in place without shorting worries. Just make sure you don't overlap the interior module too far with wire as it makes screwing the top piece in very difficult.

PROS: Easy to use. Very high quality.

CONS: Absolutely no instructions sent with plugs which could make things difficult for newbies. Only instructions available on on MonoPrice site.

there is no separator yoke. Mine are hooked in to speaker posts that have some give (the small speakers in the monoprice $250 5.1 speaker system). After I set them up my avr sent messages that I had a short in the system. What happened was that on some of the speakers the metal plugs are so close that they make contact, as I said the speaker posts have some swivel give. I ended up wrapping the entire metal part of the plug with electrical tape to prevent contact. The tape covered the red and black indicators on the plugs so I ended up attaching a small piece of red tape on the wire near the plugs for future reference.

    PROS: worked great after modification

CONS: plugs can brush causing short

Can the pins be bent 90 degrees without breaking? Need to shape them to fit on the back of a vintage amplifier.
