Dual High-Quality Gold Plated Speaker Banana Plugs, Black

Banana plugs make speaker installation a breeze. They are designed for use with amplifiers or speakers that use traditional binding posts. Not only is it easier to make the connection on the back of your amp, it is safer, with no chance of stray wire strands creating a short across contacts.

This high-quality dual plug has two banana plugs spaced 3/4" center-to-center with a red plastic yoke, the typical distance between binding posts on speakers. The plugs are the open screw type and can accept bare wire, spades, or other banana plugs. They are sized to fit speaker wire from 12 to 18 AWG. Each pair comes with one plug color coded red and the other coded black, for easy polarity identification.

The plug body is made of brass, which is then plated with gold to help prevent corrosion and ensure smooth connections.

    • Can accept bare wire, spades, or other banana plugs
    • Can accept 12 to 18 AWG speaker wires
    • Color coded black/red rings for maintaining proper polarity
    • Secure, positive contact with binding posts
    • Corrosion resistant, 24K gold plated brass plug
    • Black plastic binding yoke

    PROS: very good product

    Great Quaiity
These are better than most I have found at local audio dealers, at 1/3 the cost.

Good quality but didn't fit the spacing on my new Sony receiver. I cut the plastic connectors and installed individually. I actually like the way I had to install them because the plastic gives them a nice little handle.

    PROS: Good quality

    Screws didn't strip when tightened

CONS: Not spaced for my receiver

great product, with the right gauge wire.
These work great with the wall-plates that fit and on many amplifiers. The only downside is the speaker wire must be 14-12-gauge minimal to hold tight. When there's 16-gauge wire, you're out of luck.

Fits standard dual banana plugs. High quality and heavy duty. The screw downs are very securel. The wire does not insert in the very end. I used an 18 gauge wire where the thumb screw is at and 14 gauge in the hole closer to the tip. They are long, at least a couple of inches, so make sure you have plenty of clearance.

I would prefer to have the holes at the back of the plug for easier cable management. Other than that, solidly built, exactly like the picture, and at an excellent price.

    Worked like a champ!
Never used them before, but figured for the look and the incredible Monoprice [price] I'd give it a shot. Glad I did. Makes the speaker wire otherwise hanging from the wall look nice and professional.

Get all your wires and connectors here. I have placed 5 orders since 12/1/11 and all
products are excellent. Thanks for saving me money, Monoprice! Are their screens good? My Elite screen it just o.k., but again, 1/3 the cost of a DaLite or Stewart.

PROS: Adds a neat appearance. About 1/3 the price of item at a builder's store, and 1/5 the price of same item at an office or electronics store. Takes thick (low gage) wire.

CONS: Wire must come in from below, not through the end, but this looks good, too.

They worked as they should and were priced well

PROS: They worked just fine and were priced well

    CONS: kinda cheap feeling

Perfect to use with my Onkyo receiver! I'm new to home theater systems, so after a little bit of experimenting I figured out the right way to connect the plugs to the speaker wire, and now they work perfectly.
